Patchy enough - Got into it near the end but there were loads of times earlier on when I wanted it to be over. Only listened to the album once - Found it hard to get to the end of it although if I broke it up into more manageable chunks I'd probably like it all

It popped up on here and I thought it was absolutely fantastic. One of the benefits of getting on in years is that you no longer care about whether something is ok to like. You already know about my fondness for Take That's Patience - Hope all is well and that the little one is thriving.

yeah i've listened to them some, though i should probably hear more. I have access to a bunch of their albums but thanks for the offer.

My favourite Augustus Pablo album is 'East Of The River Nile'.'King David's Melody' is pretty cool too.

Yep, she was at Glasto '81. Her first gig as a member of New Order was 25th October 1980 at The Squat club in Manchester, UK. They had recorded the first version of Ceremony about a month before on a US tour as a 3-piece.

Just done with the first listen. It's a creepy, fragile masterpiece.

First 2 listens. Love it so far. Saw her in Manchester earlier this year - stunning show.

Sorry about the delayed reply - haven't been on this in a while. Matson Jones are definitely worth a listen. The album's short but good, and you can at least find it on amazon if nowhere else. EP on itunes too. If you've only got the National's albums, there's a thread pinned at the top on the forum called Official Live / Rareties that has loads to download. You don't have to be a member.

Love your tag for Mark Hollis. Can't see too many others fitting into that category... great album though.
