hej hej anna! i hope you're well. we spoke briefly on here like.. 12 years ago? i finally went to korea (for the first time!) this year, and you came up in conversation! i met dydsu and some other kind folks and they mentioned you, how you'd go to korea for like a month and just go to every live show. i went for a few weeks and only caught dj sets (although a byul.org gig was on the night we arrived, i hadn't secured tickets haha)

Happy 15th scrobbling anniversary today! ... how quick time passed by listening your over 16k bands ... May you experience many such musical anniversaries, and many nice music moments not only in this year ... What's your opinion about lastfm now, and if you still remember, what did you anticipate when you joined the "scrobblers"? ... P.S. Here's a birthday present for you (e.g. available spotify/youtube): ... genre: experimental/minimalism -> 14th track, from album ('piano edition (2nd album)'): ... 'slowly approaching' (this track has 100 beats per minute) ... https://www.last.fm/music/Erkan+Y%C4%B1lmaz/_/slowly+approaching ... btw: here in Germany the authorities prolongated the action measures against COVID-19 virus, one more time. Is this same at your place ?

Hey, it's nice to see a Swede interested in Korean indie music. I'm studying in Uppsala now and I think I saw Indieful ROK last year when I was checking Kite Operations' interview. And now I'm doing some academic research on Korean masculinities on the media and found out London Korean Links! Both of them are such resourceful websites and so glad to know there are people outside Korea who are interested in real Korean culture, not just K-pop! - Juntae

Hello Anna, I've done an analysis over Asian indie last.fm groups + your group: Indieful ROK is also included :-) What do you think of the results? http://www.last.fm/user/indie_and_more/journal

Hopefully I'll manage to survive the climate, haha. Maybe I'll find someone to go with when the summer's closing in, too. The most expensive part of the trip is probably the ticket, and if my friend keeps his word I could stay there almost for free!

I was thinking of taking a trip next summer depending on my savings, haha. Don't think a trip any sooner would be possible as I'm most likely working most of the time until then.

Oh, that's quite soon! I've been offered to stay at a friend's place near Hongdae (the very same person who sent me the tribute stuff), but it's quite a frightening thought to go to Korea for the first time alone, and without any knowledge in Korean.

It's very much like Underwear Band, reminds me of their 2006 release more so than their 2008 release. I love it a lot already, and if you're interested I could hook you up with a few mp3s. I really want to find some internet store where I can actually buy the album, though.

Hi Anna! :o) I'm pretty good, how are you? Ahhhh so long has passed and lots probably have changed with both you and me. I haven't been keeping up with Asian music. Mostly listening to English stuff now - that's probably why there has been a change in my radio? Ha, it seems like you're still in love with Korean music xD (I am too, just haven't been listening to it...*_^)

hello there! I've come through your k-indie blog, indieful rok. I'm a writer at seoulbeats.com and I'm planning on writing a feature called "K-indie 101". So basically I'll be talking about all the basic terms, places, festivals, blogs, etc that people who are interested in k-indie should know about. So I was wondering if you had any suggestions on what terminology/places I should include or any useful k-indie related blogs and websites you know of that I should include as well? I already have a list but I wanted to hear from a pro :) I really love your blog, by the way. I started leaving comments under 'sunshine' :)
