I really like the new Bowie song....I was totally blindsighted by new music after 10 years, but it sounds fresh while maintaining a distinct "Bowie" sound. Did you listen to the Berlin albums while you were there? Low, Lodger, and Heroes? I think it's some of his best work.

I'm on the fence about "Sleigh Bells", there's a bunch of their songs that I love but when I try to listen to the whole album my ears start bleeding :b Compared to this, the last album of Crystal Castles is just a tiny bit noisy ;)

Well, when it comes to electronic music I've mostly listened to "Yuksek" and a bit to "Memory Tapes". You should give the last two Kitsuné compilations a listen, these guys are really good at picking electronic artists (http://www.nodata.tv/search?q=kitsun%C3%A9+compilation&submit=Search), among all these tracks surely you'll find something you like :) Btw, there's also this guy who's from Netherlands (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cCjCyILbRHs) ;)

I'm doing fine :) The new album is very different from what they've done before, I'm not sure if I like it as much as their first one, but I like it, I have to give them kudos for not doing what was expected of them. This cloud looks great, huh? You know, when I visit profiles I just pick up whatever I think looks good.^^ Oh, jumping people, we kinda have matching icons ;)

I try my best not to listen to the same kind of music all the time, but I do have favorites ^^ No worries, you're having a good influence on me ;) --- Talking about influence, you know about "Shoking Blue"? They have this "60's" / "feel good music" vibe (kinda like "The Beach Boys"... in a way) and I think you might like them.

I haven't listened to "Coraline" yet, but in France his most popular work is the soundtrack for "Les Choristes" (which I like, I think it works better when you've seen the movie though.) --- I've known about " Scala & Kolacny Brothers" for about 7 years now, I've discovered them thanks to a radio host who was running a night show about relaxing and kinda unconventional music, I mean, the kind of music you usually don't hear on your average mainstream radio.

Seeing you listening to "Bruno Coulais" made me want to listen to choir music ;)

Britney is forever ruining my "I listen to cooler music than you" image, no matter how many times I listen to Björk. ^^ I'm glad you like RJD2. "Since We Last Spoke" is awesome (though his previous album is too rap-oriented for my taste), it's very diverse, no wonder you like it! The day I bought this album was a turning point in my musical history, no less.

You're picking songs from my library? :) Not necessarily the best ones from each album IMO... For "Bat For Lashes" I'd recommend "What's A Girl To Do". For "RJD2": "Since We Last Spoke" and "Through the Walls". For "General Elektriks": "Take Back the Instant". That being said, there's no guaranty you'll like these ;) "Gorillaz" is a tough sell, I got into it after watching a video of their concert.

hm, well i quite like the band Pete and The Pirates. and oh no! oh my! has some great tracks, especially 'i love you all the time'....and though not a recent discovery, the magnetic fields are wonderful if you haven't listened to them yet.
