You still use this or are you just an itunes girl?

Since I got it from the Value Village in P.A. a couple weeks ago.

Consider yourself stalked back

I ripped a bunch of old CDs recently and this happened to be one of them. Actually, I got that album from none other than Matty Z himself back in the day.

Haha, thanks. I like yours too ! I'm from Quebec and I'm living on the island but I'm planning on moving to the mainland at the end of the summer. How long have you been living in Vancouver for?

Yeah the album is really good, I don't know any of Stephen Toon's solo stuff though. Are you from Vancouver?

Hey, there, I'm curious... how did you come across Badgentina?

Boy with the arab strap - top album!

You can blame the Emmylou on my Dad.

Nope, no bugs here. Been a fan of the Frames (and Hansard) for quite some time. Not to say I wasn't moved by Once, but my scrobbler is certainly no stranger to the refrains of Mr. Hansard and Ms. Irglova. If you ever get a chance to catch those two live, I highly recommend it...as far as intimate acoustic shows go, those two are in the company of Leonard Cohen and Andrew Bird.

Oh, the All Hallow's playlist is most certainly on its way! Lost my prime playlists when I reinstalled some software, so I just had to build a bigger, badder, remarkably souped-up (and of course profoundly festive) Halloween playlist. Stay tuned.....

Hm...we both have vipderroos as a friend and we are both listening to Slowdive - Pygmalion at the same exact time!

I am having a good one, thanks! I hope you are too! It's very good to hear from you! :) x

Umm, I'm not sure how long I've been listening to Kings of Convenience. I think I've had the album for a bit less than a year or so, but haven't paid it that much attention. I just put it on for my walk to work the other morning, hence the scrobbling.

sorry ruth ann - I shall get a reply to you in t'morn, I promise! xx

Yup, very long since I used this thing and I only use it now because I'm running Linux and don't have access to my other stuff. :)

don't hate me but I missed download refresh day again and lost 19 tracks. :| I'll learn one day, honest!

Actually, I hadn't gotten anything because my subscription always renews earlier than I think, which is always a nice surprise when I got to browse and have downloads available... THE END

Meeep. Poor me, sitting here amongst the rubble of broken promises and the moisture of tears. ;)

*taps feet* I knew it would be, really :P Good easter, thanks, hope you did too?

You're not having the best of luck with this file! I don't know what else to suggest, apart from d/ling it again?

Hey you! You should download bette davis eyes you can get it off here for free by following the link on my recently listened tracks, it's an acoustic version but it's pretty funky. I'm ashamed as its an 80's song but its on an advert here. Hope you're well.

you should, I'm sure you'd benefit from them! ;)

Hehe, got to love Blondie! :) I'm really enjoying Cat Power's Jukebox album off eMusic. Both British Sea Power and the Raveonettes get a lot of good press but I haven't heard them yet to know if it's justified. I haven't downloaded enough from there for a while! :|

Today?

Hey you! Glad you got it now, sorry to hear your day sucked. Has today been better?

Yeah, I guess there's a bit of a similarity in that guitar part.

Haha, I don't, precisely because I'm scared of what it might give me: maybe they think you're ghetto ruth-ann! (reply coming later, honest!)

I figure if I'm going to break the no computer rule, I'd better do it across a breadth of social networking sites! Yeah, Magnetic Fields is one I've been waiting for..big Stephen Merritt fan. It might be a bit ambitious to try and attend an out-of-towner during recovery, but we'll see how things look in a month. If tragedy strikes, I turn profit off of a ticket for a sold-out show. Win-win, sorta!

Nice use of a Mike-ism there! For use of copyrighted material, I'll require remuneration in the form of mix-tape, mango desert or bottle of wine. Any combination thereof is also quite acceptable.

Haven't sent a shoutboxer in what feels like ages. So, uh....hey! I have obviously withered under the immense pressure to write something witty during my brief stay at your profile page. Better luck next time, I suppose!

Yes,I believe you, really I do. :P

Aha! Casting my messages to the circular file, eh?! Well, I didn't like that one anyway, so good riddance to lackluster correspondence! :-)

No worries at all, it doesn't take that long to page through the logs once I do a date/action sort on them. It's always better to have the song titles. If worse comes to worse, give me a few lines of lyrics, and I'll fire back with the titles. Hey, my previous message pulled a disappearing act...weird.

Ended up canning the show and giving up my ticket, as some contract work for a consulting firm came up. Just me, the ICP-MS, gigs-upon-gigs of music and four very plain laboratory walls. Just another Saturday night? Let's hope not!

Yeah, I'm back. Just came from the ferry.

I shall check him tomorrow, hopefully, as my bed is calling me now and I never like to miss a date with my pillow. Have a good day :)

Why didn't I tell you all this at Science World?! A heart-to-heart opportunity surely wasted! LOL!

Saw Maserati in Atlanta in 2003. A real dive club, but the show itself was unreal to say the least. The Seattle trip was great (and much needed!) Didn't climb due to my hernia symptoms, but belayed for everyone, which was a nice change of pace. The show experience defies explanation... 'nuff said! The hike was breathtaking, my legs were toast well before I hopped on a bike for the Mass ride!

If the chance ever presents itself, see Maserati live, whatever the cost. Okay, maybe $100 bucks would be steep, but otherwise, pay up!

Muhahah! Get ME! I can use shoutboxes again! Thank you last.fm!

Lots of Pete Yorn this week, what's he like?

Never has there been a truer profile picture for one of my sites. Food and sleep have been dutifuly replaced by seemingly constant streams of coffee and music. Let's just say my office-mates and I have gained a new found appreciation for my 120GB music library. I knew the modest collection I started at 11 years of age would pay off, I just didn't think it would pay off at the ripe age of 30. :-)

Hey, don't be hating on Kathy. That's a wicked album.

'Frengers' discontinued? A travesty of justice that such a fine work is no longer available! If you haven't found it by the time we have our meetings of minds, I'll bring you a copy, k? 'Kites' is an amazing album, but 'Frengers' must be experienced. Yeah, I wouldn't look to the Sisterhood of the Meandering Trousers for any substantial tips on life... but it was a fun little story, right? ;-P

hello.could you tag flakes http://www.last.fm/music/flakes+uk and let them know which artists they remind you of,if any, musically?i d' really appreciate feedback on their lastfm page from you guys.best regards,p.

Hey now, no shame in the audiobook game. Haven't read the series, but that might be more of a factor related to my gender than the quality of said tomes! Battles was amazing. They did it up like a jazz show, and kept alternating solos amongst the members... the drum solo seemed to last for hours and was amazing. They let us on stage for the encore, and I stood next to Tyondai Braxton! Sah-weet!

Remember, Ruth Ann, you must never double-cuff your pants...it's tacky! Rule #2 is to never talk about the Sisterhood....oh wait, that's Fight Club! ;-) I'm in Seatown until tomorrow, will fire back a message tomorrow afternoon! Have a great night, and be careful on the roof if you are so inclined to gain perspective on the cosmos!

Why, thank ya' on the Halloween playlist kudos. You should have seen the grimly fiendish playlist I have on my iPod...I turned it on at 7pm and it was still rollin' at 1am. A portable Halloween party, I am! Any costume parties or the like for you last night?

Hey Ruth Ann! I havnae' died, I promise, I'm just away - will message you when I get back! Hope all is well x
