there are only 2 or 3 generic death metal bands in my top 20...the rest is a mix of thrash metal and prog rock/metal. i dont listen to my classical and jazz lp's/cd's on my pc. but i also dont go to the billy talent comment section and bash them for their generic charts music.

i dont know what answer u expect...maybe i dont get the multiple meanings of "trend". my taste is very diverse....ranges from death metal to prog rock to some classical and even fusion and jazz stuff...but i guess u're not into technical and complex music...have fun (but don't bash good bands like opeth)
