I've just listened to Sammy Walker for the first time and found your Shout, which intrigued me, as few would appreciate someone like him. His lyrics are brilliant, especially on Catcher in The Rye and Closin' Time, but his delivery, brilliant as it is, is SO close to Dylan it almost tips into self-parody.

There are a lot of little-known (or overlooked) folksingers as good as Sammy: Ramblin' Jack Elliott, Richard and Mimi Fariña, Linda Perhacs, Bob Gibson, Wizz Jones, Jim Croce, Dave van Ronk, Josh White, Janis Ian, Eric Von Schmidt, Paul Clayton, etc. You must check them... Pal, can you do me a BIG favor? I know your country has heavy laws against copyright infringement and that there is a ban on file sharing (?), but can you, PLEASE, upload that Sammy Walker's record? I hope this will not bother you.

Sammy Walker's music is really difficult to find. I still can't find his 1976 homonymous album.

Well, of course. My dad's brought me up with them and I recently found some of their old records. They were so great.

"For some bizarre reason, it seems to me that once the Soviet Union collapsed, music as a whole took on a rather downward spiral in terms of quality and complexity, but I have hopes that it will one day recover." - I love that part :). Well, let me just say..i love your music taste <3

Good taste, and good point ´bout the falling of Communism, some good artist turned into "meh" artists.

Hey man, thanks for accepting the request! You've got awesome music taste, I was going through Beatle fans when I came across your page and noticed you also like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin... If you like their music then I think you ought to like mine too, If you could have a listen and let us know what you think I would really appreciate it!? Did you ever hear the half-hour version of Careful With That Axe, Eugene? It's rather good.

Hey Gareth! Yeah, I've reluctantly joined this shenanigan. It's really confusing. I can't figure out how to use it at all, but meh. I'll figure it out eventually.

Don't know about 1991, you could make quite a good case for 1981 being the end of music. Mind you, I'd say there's always been something glittering amongst the dross, even in the appalling eighties, and I'm sure things have improved in recent years. Good to see you listening to my favourite Led Zep album, though. Cheers. Simon
