I just went through my library and deleted most of my artists that had 3 plays or less. It felt good. Lost about 400 scrobbles, but my artist count is much more accurate now.

I just wonder when we're going to get a year that tops 2013. Arcade Fire, Frightened Rabbit, Josh Ritter, Kurt Vile, Sigur Ros, Surfer Blood, Typhoon, Vampire Weekend, Volcano Choir, AND The National ALLLLLL put out albums that year.

2500 Bob Dylan plays and not a single Woody Guthrie play? Definitely need to check him out. Guthrie is essentially who Dylan was emulating most of his early career. He basically got famous for playing Woody Guthrie covers before he wrote his own music. You HAVE to check him out. I will give you one month to have him as your second most played artist.

I just did some interesting math: 45% of your total plays come from the front page of your library. 28% of your total plays come from your top 6 artists. To compare: 38% of my total plays from the front page of my library. 18% of my total plays come from my top 6 artists. To conclude: you tend to get really deep in particular bands and listen to them a ton while I tend to be slightly more spread out in my plays. Interesting, right?

I don't love it, but I don't hate it. I'm going to listen to the album a few times so I appreciate the show more, but the way he's trying to sell himself kinda annoys me. For example: “King Tuff is my name/I got madness is my brain/Pleased to meet ya/I’m gonna eat ya/’Cuz I’m bat-shit insane.” It's a bit much for me, but I'm excited to see him play.
