I vaguely recall listening to Architecture in Helsinki and Camera Obscura a long time ago, but I don't remember how I felt about them. And the Chromatics are a totally unknown quantity to me, so I'll definitely check them all out. Any songs in particular, or do I just go with whatever is high on their respective charts on their pages?

Anyone similar to them hiding in your library that you'd like to recommend? Or anyone in general that you think I'd like?

What's your favorite song of theirs? I think I could listen to "Stay Golden" on repeat for the rest of my life. It's just so... hypnotic. And the lyrics are some of my favorite of any song, ever.

You know what? I'm looking at your charts and asking myself why I don't listen to Au Revoir Simone way more, and I don't have an acceptable answer to offer. Those three girls make some amazing music.

Hey. Here are some recommendations, Tyler Ramsey (which I'm sure you'll have already), We Are Augustine. If you've not heard We Are Augustine, I think they're a mix of NMH, Arcade Fire and Modest Mouse.

I didn't dislike the album but I just thought they lost their unique style. It just seemed like they were trying to be Fleet Foxes. I must say that I prefer their quicker tempo songs.

I now feel ashamed of myself that I'd never heard Frightened Rabbit. Thanks for introducing me. They're so refreshing and different to the majority of British bands right now. I wanted to ask you, what did you think to the third Band of Horses album?

I also received a Mark Kozelek and David Bazan album. I know I'll love both of these albums. If you think of any more recommendation, I'd love ot have them. Thanks again. :)

I received my first Trembling Blue Stars album today. I love it. I think I've just started a beautiful relationship with this band. :)

I managed to get the free EP (eventually). It's amazing. I love it. I'm so pleased that you told me about her. I don't think I'd have ever got the chance to hear her otherwise. :)

Oh I forgot to mention, I loved Damien Jurado before you mentioned him. Once I saw that you'd included him on the list, I knew the recommendations would be great. :)

Thanks for the recommendations. I checked them out and loved them all! I've just made a lot of orders. I was surprised how many of them were British! I've been missing out. I know Mark's work with SKM and RHP but I've never purchased any of his solo material. This has now been rectified. I couldn't find anything for the band called Daughter, that you suggested. Did you mean Daughters? I'm not sure. If I'm just being dumb, please advise me. :)

Bluegrass/Americana: *the everybodyfields*, *Jill Andrews*, Patty Griffin, *the Head and the Heart*, Trampled by Turtles, *Bonnie 'Prince' Billy*, Seryn, Shearwater, Ivan & Alyosha, Typhoon, Samantha Craine, Songs:Ohia. Indie Rock: Neutral Milk Hotel, *Okkervil River*, Arcade Fire, Sunset Rubdown, Handsome Furs, The Magnetic Fields, Dr. Dog, *Billie the Vision and the Dancers*. Quintessential Oldies: Johnny Cash, Graham Nash, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Hank WIlliams Sr, Nick Drake, Edith Piaf, Otis Redding. So, there are a bunch of bands but I starred the really really good ones. Check out Jill Andrews most of all, beautiful and painful. She was part of the band the everybodyfields before they broke up, but both in the band and solo she is superb!
