it totally is, but it's not as bad as some folks make it out to be. you're right about the uncanny valley though, some of the songs especially have dubious production. i'm still kinda bummed that he wasted a perfectly good Steely Dan sample, but it's got plenty of good tracks as well. I'm one of those people who liked Drunk and Hot Girls though, so that might invalidate my opinion.

Nice music taste, I would try awkwardly to be friends with you in real life if I knew you and if I knew about your taste. It would fail but we would still talk sometimes but the conversations would be awkward and short. We would be quasi-friends and never really consider each other a friend but we would think that we were each fairly nice people but our personalities simply don't match.

Excellent! I've been working my way through a musical backlog before exploring discographies further but I might bring RCE to the top of the pile! Also, love the term 'orchestral folk', I have such trouble putting descriptors to these things.

Your notions here contradict eachother. I don't necessarily find something complex or intricate to be better than another piece of music. If you're asking me to recommend you something that I think is good, that you might also enjoy based on your tastes, then ask for that, nothing else.

Hell yeah, River City Extension. I haven't heard Don't Let The Sun Go Down, how does it compare to Unmistakable Man?

Did you like bedhead? I just started getting into this sort of music when a qt from my comp prog class became my friend and got me into good music, so I haven't heard of much. I'll add them to my ever growing list of music I'll be listening to this break, thanks.

I've never heard Portugal, The Man, what's the relation? I don't think they've ever come to the uk so I couldn't tell you, but I guess they'd be pretty good

Oh shit, that sucks. I'd always recommend Onra though. Other than that Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler / The Dream is great, or Bomb the Music Industry! - Vacation

I've been loving Joey Bada$$ - 1999, pretty chilled out hip-hop that sounds like it was made in the late 90s but came out earlier this year, the dude is 17. Or Onra - Chinoseries (definitely spelled that wrong), its nice instrumental hip-hop made from a load of old Vietnamese records, I love that
