Hi flokemon! Great musical taste! I need to check out some of the artists in your library. I am curious to know what you would think of my friends' band, MANKIND: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bedN-v9QMwc . Cheers from Sweden

Hi! Have you heard about the reunion? However he got that drummer, the turnout of all this better be good. When I told him to get a new drummer months ago (because that obviously is the main problem) he was whining that there aren't any out there... And now he pops up with ex-Placebo? We have a saying here which goes like: "Luck is with the stupid."

He's an idiot that bullshitted me twice. And the second time was the last one (like promised). And I can't stand his music anymore... The same over and over. Now he tries to make it better with heavy riffs at the ending. As long as the beginnings of the tracks sound all the same (which they still do) I'm not interested. Indeed I'm thinking of leaving the newsletter and closing down the FB thing (which he isn't interested in anyway). Shall he go on and have fun with his other fans. He don't needs me and I don't need him.

No I'm not going to London and I'm not going to talk to Mr. O. anymore. Sorry for the late answer - I was in Berlin. I would have seen Radiohead there if the concert hadn't been postponed because of the Canadian stage disaster. We were seeing The Mars Volta instead. Pretty good live band.

I open a bottle of sparkling wine when he get's more likes than Mr. O. It's 64:18 after one(!) day now. Alternate on soundcloud: http://soundcloud.com/the-disasters-uk/control-hempton-blackadder

Sadly my enthusiasm about our common "friend" is melting away slowly. And I think I'm not the only one. But on the other side I don't want to leave him. Because like you said - we all know he can do better. Maybe it's time to be a little less concerned about his new stuff (if there is ever anything wholehearted popping up again). Like my Mom said "If he does sh** like this, then DON'T buy it."

He needs to be woken up somehow. I have good and very nice contact to Sam Hampton via Facebook. He's a really nice guy. He and his girlfriend founded a new band "The Disasters" (somehow "disaster" seems to be the favourite word in 6x7s vocabulary but nvm.). He had some nice tracks up on myspace last year, but put them down again. He seems to be a perfectionist (those tracks were perfect to me, but obviously not to him). They had a small test gig last week and it seemed to have turned out very well. They are going to record an EP soon. I'm looking forward to their stuff because it's promising. And he has a very cute cat btw. - In other words: There are others out there who need the old 6x7 fans. And maybe these are treating their fans better... - I'm not calling Chris unthankful, because he by far isn't (I can tell you ;) ). I think he sometimes just doesn't think far enough to realize any consequences that his deeds could cause.

Sadly he's too impatient and too greedy. I told him once to find a small label. I'm conviced that shuld be no prob. And he said - No! Small labels do bad work and you get no money from that. Help me out with that Doggen thing please. I know he was in the live 6x7 line-up... Did they team up?

I mentioned it on the forum now. Well I don't know what the problem with him is these days. I suppose he needed quick money for the Nottingham Goose Fair XD. What about his "The Death of Six.by Seven" thing? I want more of the "Everything is in motion" kind of music. Maybe he is suffering from burnout - what do I know...

Thankfully the forum is down, before I could write my impression of "I can make you sick". I told Mr. O. after I teased out of him what that album was about last week, he might better give out a brief warning to his fans if this this was spoken word only. Of course he didn't do so. He just used an iphone app to read his poems with different voices. I wonder where, apart from writing all this stuff throughout the last 20 years, is his right to take 8 pounds for this. I had preferred a paper version of his poems, which he initially wanted to make. But I suppose going to the copy shop is to exhausting for him and the making of ringbound books is too expensive. I mean O.K. if he makes 20 or 50 and no one buys them... But at last THIS will not increase fans. He lost e.g. 2 people on the Facebook page recently... I'm not going to write him an e-mail about this (I usually give feedback on his new releases), because it wouldn't be too nice.

Amazon just wrote me that they sent out the CD. I chose the special edition including the all in one track version. I think it's useful ;). simfy is evil.. Now I can try out "all" CDs I ever wanted. And knowing them makes the need to get them more urgent than not knowing them. :/ After one week the "welcome" premium account runs out - let's see what this evil thing is like for free users after that...

Germany has the evil greedy GEMA that wants much money for any music played everywhere. I bet one day you'll be charged for singing in the shower. So much music on youtube is not accessible. God bless the artists who are doing everything by themselves (like Mr. O.). Well at last there seems to be Deezer, but I'm more into buying real CDs than into streaming or Backups. Doing that would make me feel miserable LOL.
