Definitely start with 'I Know About You' and 'Will You Find Me'. You can never go wrong with those albums. 'Heart Like A River' is amazing too. :)

Hi Ryan, I would suggest starting with the Alison Statton album. It's more fleshed out production-wise than their first two albums (Songs for Siblings & Recent Drama) and more tuneful than their last (Received Pronunciation).

You can really go wrong with the Magnetic Fields, unless it's their last album. My favorite non 69LS album though is Get Lost, closely followed by Holiday.

ooh whoops i forgot to respond! i don't really know where's good to stay, honestly. if you know anyone who lives here, with them probably. i've only stayed at a couple hotels when i visited before i lived here, but there are a couple within walking distance of downtown. there is a very silly hotel designed to cater to football fans that is actually downtown which i bet would be hilarious to stay in.... but i wouldn't want to, ha.

Yes, this semester is real (like when people say, "it's been real"). Apparently guidance is going to yell at me next semester when they see my schedule... but I didn't even chose to make it that way. College sounds good. I like learning but I hate effort, so I don't know.

yeah, my dream is to actually find their stuff in a record store. I've ordered all the FLI stuff I have online. The Swedish label/distro Fraction Discs might still have some stuff in stock.

I'm glad things are going well. It's not too hot up here, I think it hasn't been over 85 in at least a week & all next week will be in the 70's! I think my high school year will go well, surprisingly. I don't hate it at all yet & my teachers are nice. If this semester is awful it will be okay because next semester is all art. How do you think your college year will go?

Hello Ryan, How is college going? Everything here is fine except Angie cries herself to sleep every night because we aren't her students anymore.

yeah, i live in athens so it would be a pretty ridiculous thing for me to miss it, huh! it's the only popfest i've ever been to because it's so close. i am pretty excited for this year because a lot of my friends in local bands are playing (like eureka california, witches, el hollin, the fuzzlers, etc) BUT BASICALLY. it is going to be a lot of fun and cause me to miss all of my classes. i feel like the POPFEST EXPERIENCE is pretty similar to the athens experience in general, just with way more people from out of town. this was probably not very helpful. do you know where you are staying?
