Always appreciate when people give the second half of AIC's library a chance, Jerry haven't lost any talent through the years. It marks a true music digger

Jerry is a treasure full of gems and deserves higher praise than he receives. I’ll always appreciate the fire that fueled him to keep AiC alive, after Layne’s passing. Imho, All 3 of the recordings are magnificent, with BGWTB ranking among the classics.

Well, first one that comes to my mind is Baris Manco. He was a well-known Turkish anatolian rock artist, I really think that you could dig his stuff. Also, artists like Cem Karaca, Moğollar, Tülay German, Nur Yoldaş come to my mind as some of the pioneers in the late 70s and early 80s. —— As for the underrated ones, I’d recommend 21. Peron, Erkut Taçkın, some songs of Fikret Kızılok and Özdemir Erdoğan (especially “Gurbet” by Özdemir Erdoğan) and Esin Afşar (you may like “Zühtü” by her) Asu Maralman had some great ones. —— Cahit Berkay of Moğollar also had some great highlights, such as “Selvi Boylum Al Yazmalım”, which was also featured in the motion picture with the same title. —— Other than that, Gaye Su Akyol, Lalalar and Replikas would be more contemporary options for you. —— I am aware that it’s a bit too long, but the content is almost endless, so, some earlier stuff (before she went full arabesque) by Kamuran Akkor may be dug up by you.

anytime, pal, no worries. something i forgot: you really might like nur yoldaş’s “sultan-ı yegah”. both, the title song and the remaining of the album is incredibly tasty. it’s something more like a fusion of turkish classical music with jazz & funk elements. yet, it’s unbelievably well composed and performed for a 1980 album from Turkiye. As I said earlier, there are dozens of artists which are yet to be discovered, so you may leave a shout every once in a while :)
