Fl studio its a really good sequencer, however one of the best options to make 8bit music is LSDJ, i know it seems a little bit messy at the beginning, but when you get how to do the first step, then its really simple! I advise you to give it a try, and if you need help contact me, I'll be very happy to help you (:
