Did you watch the Faust movie (1994)? I did only because of the song, just like The Seventh Seal, but I'm still missing Jodorowsky Fando & Lis(He's Chilean hahaha) and also the documentary on Tomorrow will never come EP. And yes, I'm an Enslaved super fan, I have a hoodie with the old viking logo, no one in my university knows how to read the logo (lol). I have to admit that I hate you a little bit for seeing Agalloch and Enslaved live!!! It seems almost impossible to see them live here in Chile :c. HAHAHA your video, what you said to Grutle at the end(I don't know how to pronounce his name) The setlist was awesome!!! I haven't listen "In Times" yet due to university, all say is a masterpiece. Stupid university :c

I couldn't answer you since I have been busy due to university. I think that Serpent/ Sphere shirt is not as pretty as other Agalloch shirts. I don't have any shirt of them to wear :c

Do you have The White on CD? OMG!! I only have the last one(The Serpent & the Sphere); it was a Christmas present from my boyfriend :3 In Chile is impossible to find some Agalloch's material, even for my boyfriend was hard to find the last one. Recently, I've seen some shirts in some metalhead stores and that's all. I wish to have The Mantle someday, I REALLY like the deer cover (though my fav record is Pale Folklore). One day I'm going to have them all, EPs included hahahah. Have you seen Agalloch live? I mean, they are from the States, if you tell me you don't that will be disappointing for me :c You can write whatever you want on my Last :)

You wrote a whole testament on my last hehehe and yeap, The White EP is perfect for summer, not many people know about it and is great!!!, it was the first thing that I listened in 2010 or 11 by a recommendation of an old fb friend that I had. The Wicker Man is one of my fav movies! I really like the "pagan" topic on it. I watched an interview about Christopher Lee saying that Lord Summerisle is his favourite role in all the films that he made in his career, he didn't choose Dracula nor Saruman! ( and the remake sucks). I asked where you live because I thought you were from the north of the states. I saw your photos, a lot of talent on them, did you study photography? you put agalloch songs names on the pictures <3

ahahhaha Here we have like... 30 degrees, - no snow :c but still I can listen to Agalloch and enjoy, (it's better when is cold and that "doom" stuff) I'd like to know from where part of the States are you, if you don't mind of course. I'm from Chile btw from the central part of it and it is summer here as I mentioned before c:

Hey there, thanks! That band came in handy, I was in the mood for some doom metal and hadn't found anything interesting on youtube (after some time, things just become a little bit too generic), haha. Any findings recently? Sorry for the absurdly late reply, I haven't logged in much lately.

^_^ Ufomammut is interesting group. Also I really like pictures of Ufomammut members on the background of forest and other nature(in their lastfm page). I think it's stunningly beautiful and atmospheric) My favorite their albums are Snailking and Idolum) Carbon Based Lifeforms is a good ambient project. There are many nice compositions in their albums.

You've scrobbled Om today! How awesome are God Is Good and Advaitic Songs, seriously? Oh, by the way I hope the new Electric Wizard is going to be very psychedelic and badass. But that's enough metal for now, let's talk classical (if you like)! Where should you go next, after Arvo Pärt? More timeless beauty? Visions of the apocalypse? Or just some great romantic story? Everything is there... every place, every mood.

Man, I wish I had come across Katatonia when I was still in high school. At a time when Porcupine Tree, Riverside and Paradise Lost were my favourite bands they'd really have hit the spot. Still, I've enjoyed a couple of tracks on TGCD, and most of NITND. That one sounds nice throughout, with a few standout moments. Idle Blood in particular, which made me smile a lot, very cool tribute to Opeth. It reminded me of some footage I've seen of Akerfeldt, Steven Wilson and the singer of Katatonia hanging out together (I think it was on the bonus DVD of Steven Wilson's Insurgentes). So yes I'll probably come back to them, and check out their latest albums. When I'm in my teen age mood, lol.

Hi! You left me a really nice shout a year ago, and I don't think I ever replied! I was not myself for the past year - worst time of my life - I'm starting to make my way back from the dead now. It's really nice to meet you too! What part of Chicago are you in? Yes, the Anathema/Alcest show last year was amazing! One of the best I've ever been to.

Night Is the New Day was kind of cool, as far as I remember. I'll give it an another spin, and will try out A Great Cold Distance then. But I'm afraid this band is too much style over substance for my liking (they also feel really close to Porcupine Tree in places, which can be either good or bad). Now on to Sólstafir... The thing is, I've had a rather terrible experience listening to their previous album. Right from the beginning with the song 'Fjara', they sounded awful to me (and this song still does, at least). Maybe it's just me... but I'll give Ótta a fair chance, and I'll tell you. Thanks, man.

I'm glad you've had such a good time. Be sure to hear that recording, if you haven't already: https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/multiple/tabula_rasa/ -it contains unmatched performances of Tabula Rasa and Cantus... I'm a bit short of metal lately, is there any bands/albums you think I would enjoy? Something daring enough, but not directionless, and rich-sounding if possible. I'm so very picky... but that's for the better, of course.

Sorry meant Dark Fortress, I'm looking for something new in the Metal sense. I was thinking maybe some like Black/Doom or maybe Folk Metal. The only experience I have with Folk Metal is Eluveitie, and October Falls. I'm really into the whole idea of Black Metal mixed with Doom, or Folk. I'm pretty new to Metal, so if you had any recommendations that would be AMAZING!!!!

You like doom, I like doom, we all like doom, how the hell did I miss Count Raven? If you have not heard them, seek them out at once. The only thing Spotify has of them is their reunion effort called "Mammons War" and not any of their older/newer stuff. But holy shit is that album good. The vocals might be all or nothing for ya...the only thing I can say bad about them is that their claims that they're NOT influenced by Black Sabbath/Ozzy only make it more obvious that they totally are, lol

Last time I listened to Pale Communion, the first and last songs stood out to my ears. Arvo Pärt has given us very soothing, enveloping pieces of music indeed -favourites of mine include : De Profundis, Da pacem Domine (choral numbers), Silouans Song, Cantus in memory of Benjamin Britten (orchestral sketches), and of course Tabula Rasa, a timeless work featuring great use of violins. I also love some of his earlier stuff, which is nowhere near soothing, but sadly overlooked IMO... Check out his Cello Concerto, and Symphony No.1 if you dare. Looking forward to see some classical in your charts in the near future, then! :-)
