do you have any tips for me to overcome my own uselessness and annoyingness?

It's rad. Imagine a combination of every album they've done so far sonically. In particular if you like The Money Store and Jenny Death you'll like it.

Indeed! I've listened to The Mollusk a handful of times and Quebec once. I loved them both, so I guess it was just other genre priorities at the time that kept me from being a huge fan. After Z-Rock though I realized the error of my ways and downloaded their discography. That Goatsnake album cover is awesome lol, never seen that one.

Na man you can use the economy to justify being a lazy p.o.s. Most of my friends my age at varying levels of education and employment still live at home. (happy birthday btw ˙ ͜ʟ˙)

Retail? My condolences. That's a good plan though. I have a friend in that same position too, I know how it feels :( Everyone else at my school does part-time work as well (pretty small local university) so I get shit for being spoiled a lot. Do you have good public transportation in your city?

Unemployed, about to graduate. "Overworked" is probably an exaggeration compared to someone with a full-time job or part-time w/ school, but I'm doing more shit outside of classes than I'm used to like research, which consumes my weekends. So I'm kinda salty over that. When's your bday brah? And what do you do?

Yes! And I've been meaning to mention that your avatar is the exact same as my Hummingbird one (•ω•) What a coincidence

It is very good. The fact that it's my least favorite says a lot about his other work. Blind Chance's main theme hit my weakness, that randomness influences our lives more than our decisions. I've lightly read on the topic and probability in general is interesting. It seems that we're on the same page in more than just music my friend.

Yeah, I've seen Veronique and Blind Chance as well as the trilogy. Veronique is probably my least favorite of his tbh. Have you seen it?

Ape of Naples first! Ape of Naples first!! Yeah that's how I think Flow is, too (the Foetus album). It takes the "industrial broadway" thing past its limit, which is fun. I actually finished the Three Colours trilogy just the other day! I had seen Blue a long time ago and put off the others. They're all so good though! Every girl is best.

Thaw, huh? No, I haven't heard it. It looks like it's pretty popular, though, guess I've been fucking up. Nail wasn't quite as good as I remembered it to be, surprisingly. It was real raw and everything, but also kind of... flat? Like, sonically flat.

I think Foetus might be too goofy for a lot of industrial fans, or maybe people looking to get into industrial aren't looking for something goofy. But you've inspired me. Gonna listen to Nail again pretty soon :+)

Foetus? Sure, I've heard Nail and Flow. Both were a blast. Not sure why I never returned to those.

Oh wow, you're in for a treat. Their discog has a wide palette of sounds, so it's hard to pick one starting place. I'd say the four records that would let you sample every Coil trajectory would be The Ape of Naples (their masterpiece, you should start here actually), Musick to Play in the Dark, Horse Rotorvator, and Love's Secret Domain. If you liked Time Machines, MtPitD is the closest sonically c:
