Heya, I tried to get Eternity at JB but they didn't have it so I got We're Here Because We're Here. I'm digging it so far. I don't mind the more mellow stuff but I think it comes across better on the acoustic album. There are some great rocking songs mixed in though. I'm guessing the reason your friends weren't fans is because there's not more metal tracks? Quite a few tracks remind me of Porcupine Tree but I think I almost prefer Anathema's take on it. The piano is a nice touch (especially in Summer Night Horizon). I'll have to check out Eternity next.

Awesome, will check that out. Since you're into sludge and prog, I'm astounded you have no Mastodon in your library! Get on that shit man! Hahaha. Seriously, their material is amazing. Start off with Crack the Skye, then just go backwards in their discography (Blood Mountain, Leviathan and Remission).

Yeah I had a friend who went for that gig, or probably another one in Australia. So any good recommendations for music?

Haha I see. Well, I got to meet them, even took pictures and got my Great Misdirect CD signed. They're really cool guys. // That's awesome, I would go for more local gigs if the crowds here weren't that irritating. // Yeah I can imagine. I really want to move to Australia after NS. So you're a pretty big fan of Pain of Salvaion, from what I see. Until now I still can't really get into them. Scarsick just seemed extremely odd for me, and One Hour at the Concrete Lake wasn't very good. Road Salt One is pretty amazing though. Sounds a lot like a 70's prog album, but nothing like their previous stuff.

Haha dude I'm so jealous. And yeah, they'll definitely come back. Asia loves them. Did you manage to meet BTBAM btw? // I'm taking my O's this year, so I still have a pretty long way to go hahaha. // That's really cool! How's it like there in Aus compared to SIngapore?

Hahaha. Wow, all really great bands, I missed Dream Theater TWICE when they came to Singapore. Really regret it. I've went for Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Megadeth, Muse and Between the Buried and Me. All great, but the outstanding ones definitely have to be Muse and BTBAM, both this year. So what are you studying there?

Well, I dunno, you somehow have that Singaporean look haha. And also your myspace. :P It's pretty cool you're studying in Australia, I wanna study and move there too, but I'm stuck here until NS finishes. So, yeah, just to keep the ball rolling, what gigs have you been to?

Awesome. So you live in Australia, can I make a safe bet you were from Singapore? :P

Haha i know! The demos are a bit rough, but its interesting to see how the songs evolved onto Deathconsciousness. But the b-sides are fucking amazing. The last two songs are epic as fuck. Totally gay for the b-sides lol

Thanks for the recommendations! I decided to start with The Destruction of Small Ideas, and I really enjoyed it! Especially the last track with Circle Takes The Square guest contribution. I love CTTS so that got me a bit excited :) But I'm a definite convert, will listen to the others as well! Yeah I'm much the same, just uni and life etc. Not all that fun haha.

Hey! :) Long time no chat! I was just about to look into listening some 65daysofstatic, and I know you like them. Well, I see you listening to them a fair bit! So I was wondering, where do I start with them?! How's everything in your corner of the world?

So you had a "break" but you need a proper break, somewhere nice and tropical maybe? :) Yeah I don't know how people cope with uni, work and a social life, it must be difficult. Things are pretty normal for me at the moment but I'm looking for a place locally for another 6 months before I move to Melbourne. There's not a lot around as far as rentals go and I don't have a lot of money, blah.

With work you mean? That's no good. :( Any breaks coming up? I know exactly what you mean, I just have no desire at all to listen to them lately. I guess I will check out the new album but I think I will see them slowly dropping down my charts.
