Yeah the gig was cracking. There's some footage posted up on YouTube. Search for John Butler Trio @ Manchester Academy. It's not great quality but you'll get the idea :o) Bomba done a drum solo during Good Excuse and all three did during Funky Tonight!

Hey mate. The JBT gig was awesome. I saw them live (albeit with a different line-up) during their Grand National tour. The new trio are so much better. Bomba & Luiters have far more rhythm (although it could be argued that Barker had a better technique) and they just seem to be having far more fun than the old crew. So much so that they would just go off on one and almost forget about the audience. They did this trio drum solo thing (i.e. all three playing the drums) during the encore which went on for about 10 minutes!
