Yea, I'd say its definitely a lot to digest from all 4 of them. kinda impossible to listen to ALL the projects put out by all 4 of them in a small time span & be able to form a valid opinion about their music...but spread out over time, yea, it's possible. lol That's why it took me more than a few listens...esp w/ Section 80. The potential is there for them all, and also they have youth on their side so they have more than enuff room for growth. sidenote: Glad to (finally!) see a diff sound coming from Cali too...(then again, maybe that's just me tho haha!)

Actually, just thought about it. And I think I know what you were asking. lol I like Section 80 and Overly Dedicated equally. There are negatives and positives about both, imo. But still decent projects. In the beginning, it took me a few listens to like & appreciate the projects (I haven't gotten my hands on the earlier stuff yet) and now I am really starting to become a fan as I listen to him more & more (especially lyrically)...tho sometimes I wish he would really BRING it in regards to the "delivery" of some of his lyrics (i.e. his colab on 9th's latest kinda bothered me lol, and I think his voice sounds kinda funny at times), but overall I like him. Sorry, novel....I know. lol

Not sure what you mean. Side projects? Do you mean Kendrick's solo albums aside from his group Black Hippy?

Aww. I miss Zia. I need to hit that place up soon. lol @ you buying tapes. There must be some definite nostalgia behind your 'tape buying'. The few times I've been there its been pretty crowded. I actually might stop by there when I get back in town. You have any New Yrs plans? Are you staying in town? Vegas is liable to get crazy around that time. lol

Oh I see. Ah, okay. Do you want suggestions on other Nirvana-esque, grudge rock of that time period?...or any music genre in that time period?

Mulatu and Helio is on the psychedelic jazz, afro-beat jazz blend, progressive jazz vibe. Check your inbox. You like the Dilla tribute album?

''Very High' huh? Well that's good. :-) As far as recc's...'Suite For Ma Dukes' EP, that Dilla tribute, is nice. Its kinda great bc the proceeds go to Dilla's heirs. Just got that. And I think you will like Mulatu Astatke & The Heliocentrics. I'm listening to their live album 'Live At Broad Casting, Cargo London'...good stuff. I can send you either of them. Just say the word.
