It's also a test to see who's a true spirit and who is just there to be there. It's a rebuilding mode when we tear everything down and start from scratch but you can't build a foundation for your house without some help right? Hey! Can't tell you how good it is to hear from you. Every time we speak, I can't help but wonder if it's the last time. Haha But I'm doing great. I graduated high-school this June. I move in at college on Tuesday. I'm dealing with a ton of butterflies in my stomach. Life from here seems so uncertain. But God's got his plan, ya know. It'll all work out. Ahhh. All three are great. Yolanda, Fred, and New Breed never fail. Zhane, Diggable Planets, Bonnie Raitt, and Babyface...all familiar names that I've never given their due time. I'll check them out in the coming week. Nas and Damian? You know me too well. aha I listened to that album for the first time in several months about a week ago. I had guessed the baby wasn't yours when it got younger and changed race a few times, but let me hold on to my illusions just a little bit longer. I've also been laid off for a bit. I hate it every time I think about it, but I use it as an excuse to waste time reinventing myself. Lots of meditation, writing, long walks, and the like. The boredom is murder, but having no money to worry about is sort of relaxing in a backwards sort of way. Ramen and sausages are my closest allies in the dark times. I am desperately sorry to hear that on your end though. But, you are awesome, and I'm sure you'll be back on your feet in no time at all. It takes a lot of pushing for the world to put down a dreamer/badass like you.

Oh goodness. I think most nerds with swag may take offense to the term "swag." That's got to make it a rare demographic. =P I am well, how are you? Hi there!!! I'm doing very well. Trying to stay cool, it's kind of hot and humid up here. It's so great to hear from you. I hope your day was wonderful. I bought my vinyls about a month ago and I really didn't get a chance to enjoy them the way I wanted to because of this and that going on. Plus, I'm on here, listening to my custom station, but then again, I'm thinking about doing some more shopping this week. I'm a guilty greedy sucker but I have to have my music. That's a must. That's the thing about MP3s. You would find a good album with a good price as opposed to reissues that are like CD prices now. It's crazy!! You're right about the flesh being weak but sometimes we just can't help ourselves.

Of course! I have an appreciation for talent and motivated people, even if I don't share the same aesthetic sensibilities. I think if you put that same attention and care into another store, it couldn't be anything less than awesome. I'm from Arizona but currently up in Washington state, where it is agonizingly muggy right now. People don't seem to understand how bad humidity really is.

Sounds good. I'll keep you posted also. As a matter of fact, I just went shopping last week. Actually three out of the last four weeks I did some shopping. Picked up a couple of Sly & The Family Stone albums (which I love Sly & The Family Stone), a couple of Ohio Players. A Madonna, a Rick James and etc. I want to vary into different genres because I listen to different types of music and I don't want to feel limited. From my experience, the best thing to do is not collect everything week after week because then you will feel burned out later and lose the challenge in it.

Haha, I should have guessed the "belle" was a southern thing, but didn't want to make rash assumptions. Your store is pretty neat, btw. If I had a need for baby accouterments, I'd be all over it. =)

I know what you mean. It's hard to find a good setup to store your music. Especially when you start to get deep into collecting. I'm telling you, you are really going to enjoy collecting vinyls. I've been an on and off collector pretty much all of my life. Now, I started to really get back into it. It's a beautiful thing. It's like therapy for me. Personally, I prefer vinyls over cd's because you get the full experience with vinyls. The album cover art and the music to boot. I love it.

P.S. I'm glad you're into vinyls. I like collecting them too.
