Hey I saw a post that you were at the Detroit show for The Afghan Whigs 1965 tour. What a small world. I was at Clutch Cargos as well that night. I was hoping they would play Crazy. I remember Greg saying that he hadn't had a drink in a really long time, and that he saw alot of young faces in the crowd who didn't know how fucked up their lives were yet, but he was going to take us there. It was the BEST concert I've ever been to.

Thanks for sharing that :) I saw Dulli a couple of times but never with the Whigs, I was too young and too stupid to appreciate bands like them. I envy you so much. And I feel blessed that I did eventually discover them, a bit too late but still. I guess you saw them around 1998, probably with a horn section and Susan Marshall? Damn, my favourite bootleg is from that year. They were an amazing band, especially live. In a perfect world they'd be huge. Gentlemen is one of the best albums ever. Consider yourself lucky - they didn't sell it in super stores in my country :)
