yeah I see, I can definitely agree on Dead as Dreams being one of the best bm records ever, although I'm not a "regular bm listener". it just has something really special and unrepeatable. while I'm not playing on any instrument but know some guitar basics I can only imagine how difficult must be play some of their riffs. I already know both bands, thanks, The Gault is great, same as Weakling, very unique atmosphere, instrumentation, vocals and all. I can't tell the same about Dispirit, but I've heard that demo just once I think, so it may grow on me later... in any case, J. Gossard is extemely talended musician. oh and nice blog, I see great stuff only. and love that words about Flipper's Generic in particular, haha.

I saw them last month when they opened for Agalloch at GAMH. Their sound was far beyond what you get out of the rehearsal tape. Certain parts of their set were almost hypnotic, in my opinion. Unfortunately i missed the first 5-10 minutes though, so I'm looking forward to seeing them again. You need to take a road trip down to scion fest, haha

to be honest I've never been a fan of Jarboe in Swans. Her voice distracted me from all the sick percussion and heavy guitar. But fuck, the show last night was so amazing. So sad it's over :/

yeah, soundtracks has some interesting parts. for a while i would get frustrated whenever the song "Volcano" would come on until i read the lyrics (which you should do if you really like Swans). and no problem about the Dead Can Dance album.

soundtracks for the blind is my favorite, the great annihilator and filth are the next best two after that. if you haven't already, you should hear greed and holy money once you've finished those three. and yeah, you should have a great time at that show. also, its cool that you like dead can dance. they're really good too.

yeah their early stuff rules. glad you like what you got. you must be excited for swans in October. they canceled their dates on the west coast which sucks alot.

Have you listened to any black metal associated with Les Legions Noires? That's all I've been listening to for the past few days, I think it's some of the better stuff I've heard. Well honestly I'm not that big on suicidal black metal, but I'm willing to give Dispirit a listen. I do really like Krallice, and I've listened to Weakling before, really good stuff. Ah, I love both Dali and Beksinski! Have you seen Dali's film 'Un Chien Andalou?' I haven't seen enough of Ernst's work. I also really like M.C. Escher's work, but yeah, Magritte's pretty much my favourite surrealist artist!
