Brant is always cool ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯ I was just hoping he hadn't laid an egg. His back catalog is kinda hit or miss for me, even though I've always loved him. I didn't get addicted to the new John Garcia album, but I liked that he covered a band from my hometown (who I saw play last night strangely enough) and I like the song that Danko Jones wrote.

<chuckles to herself> That explains so much. <continues chuckling> Having been preoccupied with other stuff, I didn't even notice. :D Now that you've brought it to my attention, I'm conflicted. On the one hand, if I made it there, it necessarily follows Bandcamp is no longer the reputable place we all know and love, and on the other, I love the company I was featured in. :D Mhm. ;-)) Anyway...thank you, Bucky. It's good to know I don't wander off too far. ;-))

<chuckles to herself> Oh well...you can't blame a girl if she goes off the grid for a while. :-) I needed a hiatus. <shrugs> I am actually surprised anyone noticed. <sighs> Anyways, yeah...the year certainly got off to a great start, and, as I understand it, there is plenty more to be excited about. Not to mention all the great shows in the area in the coming months. <takes a deep breath> Ahh, 'tis a good time to be alive! :D As for the recommendation...thanks, Bucky, I'll be sure to check it out. I did listen to it when it was still only two tracks, sometime last year, and then kind of...forgot about it. Oops. :D Actually, it's double oops 'cause Rhett picked it up and...if he's got it, odds are I have it too. <tut-tuts> I have been slack. :D

BTW...I don't know if it's intentional or not, but since I've seen you use it a few times, I gotta say this: every time you make use of "The Most Interesting Man in the World" meme, you get a laugh outta me. :D ;-)

I guess it's easy to...get taken by it all, and start buying more and more. However much other people's collections were a great source of new music and information, following others can actually be feeding (driving even) the addiction, which...isn't necessarily a good thing. <shrugs> I don't know...I think I understand completism and collections and...the hunger, the drive, the high, whatever...but I like to get intimate with my music. And I prefer for my recommendations to come from people whom I know can relate. <shrugs> Oh, but Broozer? LOVE that one! I found it one night, around 4 am, after hours of listening to stuff that didn't touch me at all...and that one just exploded! ;-))

...No, thanks. My collection is primarily for myself. Everything there was chosen with care, and it gets frequently played. If there's someone out there who finds (parts of) it pleasing, I'm happy. :-) Funny thing is, due to a bug that is now done away with, I didn't receive any fan notification emails for a month. The only way for me to see other people's purchases was to rely on my music feed, or visit those whose taste I trust. And you know what? I don't feel like I've missed out on anything. Recently I noticed there are a few whom I follow that started buying A LOT and as a result, I no longer visit their collections. There's something about that kind of accumulation that I find off-putting. Not to mention how much work would have to go into actually going through the purchases. I prefer the smaller collections...there's usually a gem to find in most. :-)

Wait! I need a moment to bask in this genteel praise. :D Ahem...yeah. ;-) Well, I just...don't feel the need to leave my mark everywhere I may roam. I've got this place for that, don't I? I guess I could throw a buck here and throw a buck there and throw a buck everywhere, but what would be the point? Much like is the case with everyone else, the majority of my time is spent listening to music, in one way or another. Not just new music, but also the music I already know and love. Isn't it made so it would be enjoyed over an extended period of time, one that significantly exceeds the running time of the album? Honestly, sometimes I wonder if some of the...um...oniomaniacs actually listen to the stuff they buy, or they just do it on sight. 'cause...I wouldn't have the time. I rarely sleep and I still couldn't keep up, even if I tried. I kind of feel like that would make it a chore anyway. And why buy something you're just going to download, archive and all but forget about?...

Aww, I'm sorry I missed that! With the colour schemes we've got going on, it must have looked cute. :D Still, you look pretty good above me as well. :D Um...wait...that might have come out wrong... ;-) Anyway...I know! I had been waiting for the album for the better part of the year now, and I've been on the lookout for the past few months, 'cause I received word the master was almost complete. Given what I've heard before, I knew it was gonna be good so, snagged it, I did! As soon as I saw it! :-))

Waaa? Baroness eh? Well that's weird, and we were just talking about them the other night and I was thinking it had been a long time since I have played that album. I love that Yellow & Green album.

Ohh very good blues rock, I have had The Silks on my wish list for some time now. I may just break down and get that album here someday. I just hate paying $10.00 for a digital download and its not about the money really, its more about the fact that if we all keep spending that much for the digital downloads some artists will ONLY produce digital and stop producing CD's. I think a clear price for CD's should be $10-12 and digital should be NYP or at the most $7.00. :/ Tell me what you think of these guys when you get time. https://saturna777.bandcamp.com/album/the-kingdom-of-spirit

Hey ya Buck, you bet I dig Indigenous. ;-) I would say its the best blues rock album this year next to The Blackwater Fever which is #1 for me. That album is hard to beat. But Indigenous is great and they have so many other albums I haven't even listened to. I bet you would really like JJ Grey, he sings with so much passion & heart. He is very southern, but with soul/jazz/rock all in there too, its really great music, but not for everybody I suppose. Id be curious to know what you thought of it. Check out his latest album, "This River"

Hah, yeah the cable guy. As a matter of fact, I had the pleasure of dealing with them the other day. I had scheduled a 12-4 window on a Saturday so I could sleep in and they showed at 10:00am and I wasn't even dressed yet! :-\ Anyways, as far as music goes.....Sandrider is looking great, you know those boys are from my neck of the woods. Mike told me about Noctum - Final Sacrifice, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. But its over at GM if you want to check it out. Happy listening enjoy your weekend!! ;-)

Hey Bucky! Zodiac is a terrific album...love at first listen for me. ♥ I think you and I are on the same wave length with which ones are our favorites. I would have to add to that "Believer" it is a really beautiful song and one I responded to instantly. But for sure, that album will be in my top 10 for the year. (damn that list is going to be hard to put together with so many grrreat albums this year) Speaking of which, what is coming up before the end of the year that you are really looking forward to? I know there has to be more! I need another fix! (good gawd I need an intervention) (:-))

<chuckles to herself> By my calculations, that about covers my monthly compliment requirement, so thank you. ;-) I used to find junk mail irksome as well, but now I have about 126 different message filters, which means I am mostly unaware of the barrage my inbox(es) might be under at any particular time. :D Anyway, woo-hoo! I'm usually not keen on surprises, but this one can't be bad so...thank you in advance and...you know where you can find me. ;-))

Hey Bucky, I am doing great these days, thanks and I hope you are too! I listened to Zodiac all the way through on Saturday and I loved it....thoroughly loved it. They have all those things I look for in a hard rock band and what a vocalist, he is damn good!! If I had heard that album last year it would have been on my favorites list for sure. :-) But the music I choose to listen to is so much different then this time last year. I was listening to a lot of progressive music, but I'm liking what I am into these days much, much more thanks to BC and the people over at HRR. :D

Bluetooth tech is so awesome. Speakers, and stereo set-ups are still kinda pricey, but it should start being more affordable. I bought a Bluetooth speaker for $100, and it's pretty tiny in size. It does sound good though, but it has issues when you 'pair' multiple devices to it. Are you settling in to your new job, and liking it? Sure miss you camping out all day at HRR. ;) I still see you log in pretty frequently though. TY. xox

Ohh hellya Iron Tongue is definitely going to be at the top or right under The Flying Eyes which at this point is looking pretty good to be #1. I cant imagine anything knocking that off the top. What did you think of Lowlands? So what are next albums you are anticipating being really good?

Hey Bucky! How is your Sunday going? I haven't been doing too much but listening to music today. I got around to listening to some new albums I hadn't had a chance to....Stormbringer being one. Wow what a kick ass album, like you said straight up heavy rock n roll. I love it! The other one that has been a surprise is Komatsu, I wasn't expecting to be that blown away by it, its excellent. Oh yeah thanks for Volto, like I posted...I have been waiting for that one for awhile. I got it downloaded and Ill be cranking it in a few. Thanks a lot!

Don't sell yourself short, one of the main reasons I started stalking you in the first place were your descriptions. They really are compelling, in the full sense of the word. You manage to convey just how much you've enjoyed something, which is no small feat, as well as capture the essence. I mean, when I visit your page in search of inspiration, I go for the stuff you commented on. I've yet to disagree with your assessment. ;-) I did actually get my first Booyakashas today... <giggles> thought it was cute, definitely a cool feature. :-) As for the pricing...I noticed that too...although it's nice to see people don't skimp on those "name your price" deals. :-) Well, hopefully they don't. :-)

<blushes somewhat> Oh, you know...refined taste an' all. :D ;-) I was happy to see your face next to mine, it was getting lonely there. :-) I'm actually surprised at the deficit of attention awarded it...it took me only a couple of seconds to thoroughly fall in love with it. Boy do they deliver...and the vocalist is fantastic! :-) I think this will get thing going...that comment of yours is nothing if not compelling. ;-)) Anyway, yep...it's kinda funny how, when I come across an album I like and it's a free download, I'm disappointed. :D I'm all: "Please take my money, you guys rock!" :D ;-)

...As for my motives, I would advise caution. :D Appealing though it may sound, cannibalism is not a part of my plans...but your collection does look rather delectable. ;-) Also, for all you know, I could be hell-bent on world domination, working on an army of the undead whose sole task would be to round up all my favourite performers and ensure a never-ending concert for my enjoyment only. :D Could happen! :D As for my bandcamp collection, it's gonna grow. I might even backtrack some of my old purchases, it makes me sad to see some of them have no supporters, when they definitely deserve the attention. Soon. ;-) It's definitely an interesting project, isn't it? An interesting take on a social network. Arguably, it offers much more than your average cyber hangout. Plus, it promotes paying for music as a way of building up your cred...which is pretty brilliant. :-)

Well, in a lot of ways, it's flattering. Navigating the twists & turns of this place is at times a lot like flipping through the pages of a catalogue. You're interested in what's out there, but odds are only a small number of them is gonna make you pause & keep you interested enough to come back at a later time. :-) If I took it a step further, I might even posit that, in the context of this and similar sites, it's almost like paying homage to an inspirational figure..in this culture of real virtuality. :D I agree the point is to get noticed..otherwise, why bother? Although, I've had people here complain of frequent visitors to their profiles, & especially the fact they "steal" music from them..which would usually leave me dumbfounded 'cause: 1. imitation is the sincerest form of flattery; & 2. the profiles are public, music itself isn't any user's property & the whole idea is to get the message out, so to speak. Even if I'm wrong about everything else, the last assertion stands. :-)

<giggles> I get that a lot. I put it down to choosing to express myself in sometimes extremely convoluted ways, which then results in a lot of static...and little in the way of informative conversation. :D Your instincts were right though. ;-) For me, your face became a familiar one mostly because I stumbled onto it many a time, whilst navigating the wonders of bandcamp. ;-) We are not following each other (although I'm gonna do something about that)...it was mostly just me stalking you...a little bit. <blushes> ;-) I haven't really been all that active there...not until recently at least. I did purchase music regularly, but never really bothered to actually make an account. That changed a couple of weeks ago...so, the profile is a baby still! :D Plus, I decided to start from scratch, since earlier purchases were more of a...joint enterprise. :-)

Hey Bucky, I got around to listening to a few tracks from that link you sent me, Austin Taft. First off, thanks for thinking of me. ;-) Its really not that bad and some of the songs were pretty good, but yet it still just didnt do anything for me. I guess I am just being picky... it seems like lately I haven't heard anything that really blew me away. Do you ever go through stages where everything you listen to has something about it you dont like? lol I guess its been a dry spell for me lately.

Hi! ;-) Instead of launching into the usual pleasantries, let me just say I've seen you around...;-) On more than one occasion, my curiosity was piqued, I acted on it, and that marked the onset of a prolonged period of overindulgence. So...thank you for the inspiration. :-))

Hey thanks for recommending The Next Hundred Years, it is an excellent album. Their older stuff, not so much, even the reviews said that. But they sure killed it on all levels with this latest one. Thanks again!
