Torpedo Town it is! Near Portsmouth or Plymouth, don't remember which. Us, DIRT and Sub-Humans all played. DIRT and Antisect nearly got in a fight with Sub Humans over a PA. We went on nice and late, my first open air night gig and did a really nice set including covering Silver Machine! Well, you gotta aven't yer.

My phone number is the same it's been for the past decade or so (4995). Looks like the weather will be chilly and gray, so it's 50/50 as to whether or not the kids come out to Gorky Park, but I'll be there for sure. The last time I saw the Ex - at Dom a couple years ago - their set was so life-affirming, it was one of the best things I'd ever seen. I can't wait to see them again.

Since you listen to Khmer oldies you may also like reading my article on Cambodian music. http://www.laboratoriummuzycznychfuzji.com/2013/06/labopedia-muzyka-kambodzy-panstwa-w.html If you like it you may also click "lubię to" button to like my website (on the right handside of the page). There's a translation tool in the top right corner.

Be the first on your block to join my very newest group: [group]Immortal Rock Vocalists[/group]. The connections are based on two rock lists at www.digitaldreamdoor.com: Top 100 Male Vocalists & Top 100 Female Vocalists. The connections are complete: the radio is still under construction. Place note that you will hear some non-rock on the radio, because this is based on vocalists who may cross over into gospel, soul, funk, pop, and country. The connections are individual artists, but the radio will include any bands or groups they are associated with: in many cases the band is better known than the singer. The lists are the opinion of the authors and are sure to inspire discussion and dissent. Good! Bring your opinions and your own lists and jump into the fray!

Mental! I never thought I would hear this again. When Antisect played The Garage before Xmas, Boycey was singing the "stick it in, twist it, pull it out" at me, saying he always remembered it. Funny. Steve Spingys is an old school pal of mine, and nice of him to take the time and trouble to put this on Facebook. Maybe I really need to get that Facebook page sorted out after all. In the meantime, will you do me a favour and let Curtis E Johnson know that he can find me on LastFM? All the best

Wow that's great. How young does everyone look? I used to love Gav and Jim's 'alternative' discos. Joy Division, B52s, Clock DVA, Cabaret Voltair, Echo and the Bunnymen, etc etc. I often used to do a 20 minute punk slot to give Gav a break, and to me, this pic looks like me getting ready to take over. Favourite tracks of the time included Fight Back - Discharge, Holiday in Cambodia - Dead Kennedys, Nasty Nasty - 999, No Government - AntiPasit, Shellshock - Erazerhead and War Dance - Killing Joke. Happy Days!

Hey Mark. My relationship with Facebook is complex. I have lived more than one life in my time (who hasn't) and Facebook just brings the ugly potential for them all to connect so that people from one past can check out messages etc from peopel from another past who can both be viewed and linked up to by people from my present. Not healthy. Not desirable. Anyway, hope you are well and happy. I am, though perhaps a little paranoid eh?

Hey Davess, been quite some time indeed. Well I didn't get into RYM because it looks like alot of work at first, nothing like scrobling or else, so I got lazy enough to leave it aside... But from what you tell me I might try it seriously in like... 2 years? Ha! Thing is I'm also meeting people on SoulSeek who lead me to new stuff I've never heard so for now I don't feel the urge to use RYM, but I do believe both of you about its revealance though. Just might take some time until I find the courage to work on it... Greets & cheers! ;)

Brilliant, thanks for the FaceAche pics. Do you know where they were taken? Looks a bit like the Black Lion to me, or maybe the White Elephant? Anyway, I appreciate the thought and the effort. Still in touch with Pilch? Saw Killing Joke with Lippy and co before Xmas. All jolly good fun.

Hey Mark. Yes I knew Pilch and it would be great to hear from him again. I dont do Facebook as you know, but I do now have a Myspace page which you are welcome to visit and direct others who knew me to. http://www.myspace.com/539655112 It even features your cracking biog of Antisect for which I have of course given you credit. All the best for now. John

"They wanted to define themselves by the sound of their music, and have a philosophy of their own, thus rejecting being limited to 'punk', 'anarcho punk' or now 'crust" Is what i thought also. I am aware that no such label existed back then. But i agreed with you on everything you said and have no objections. With or without the blessings from antisect hehe. In other words, fair enough. Peace

Great overview of the Offenders. Sharply written, and unusually balanced/emotionally detached. So many of these are done by rabid fans whose difficulty in keeping their slobbering devotion out of the work.
