You going to see Konono No.1? They were great fun at MG ATP, apart from their surprise supergroup/jam thingy, where they all looked very very tired and a bit grumpy (apart from the dude far right (who isn't Jason Pierce!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fQ7p7KxBR0

I doubt people will be dancing, but after an hour of danrobear they will be, but it doesn't have to be. DANCE MONKEY. As long as you could imagine travelling round a goat themed ghost train esq style miniature ride virtually, then you've meet the brief! Your 'psychy/trippy/giddy/too much candy floss and feeling sick' vibe sounds pretty great to be honest. Send on over a list of tracks so i don't double up with you, and i'll make a start on my hour tonight! x

Did you book the return bus? I really like the new Interpol, some excellent songs on there, really like Everything is Wrong too. You're a good boy aren't you, might as well get the most of that Sky box. You freaking Libyan. Yeah man I'm definitely up for Camera, free innit. I love a free gig me. Their new album comes out next week so will check that out. I downloaded the new JC&TV, I've been sent both tracks cos I preordered the album, did you buy it? £3 for the digital version! I gotta say I'm excited to hear the full album.

Megabus is booked! Victoria at 9, get to Bristol at 1130, £6 each!! I read that on DiS too, totally agree, The Strokes being another example. I really like the album, Anywhere is awesome! Watched the first BE yesterday, good start, won't say anything incase you haven't seen it, only 7 left!! While you're down there love. The Rat is based on a ride isn't it?

Here he is. Lovely bit of Pension Danny on Last. Such a treat. Everythings coming up Danny. I guess if there was a brief it would include theme park music. I'm thinking music that could work as ride music (repetitive but fun and dancy) mixed with anything you can find online from actual rides (but not to many as it gets a bit annoying after a while!), plus songs with references to rides. I'm looking at RHCP Love Rollercoaster, or Rollercoaster Ride by Belle and Seb. You get the picture. I know that the man danrobear will deliver a mind blowing hour of TUNES! x

Pulling off a Dan. Tugging off a Dan to completion. Best album OF the decade more like it! Nah gonna listen to it again but on first listen it sure is great to have them boys back! Oh look at Pitchfork giving them yet another bad review, clever boys. What's this new code of conduct then? Oh really? I'll probably slowly watch the rest of Horseman Hughjackmon then. Rectify has the same producers as BB doesn't it? Will add that to the list then. Bloody Libyans!! Oh I'll be watching it as soon as I finish work, take them Libyans into the breakroom. Yeah you're right, IMDb is saying 8 episodes, what the fuck!?

If you're still game it looks like the DJ/music line up for next friday looks a little something like this: 18.00 -19.00: johnwilliams 19.00 - 20.00: persistentperil (ginny) 20.00 - 21.00: danrobear 21.00 - 22.00: persistentperil (sam) As drdinnermint can no longer go we will replace him with John Williams JP score. Its the only thing that comes half as close! So please no JP in your hour! x

Shabazz Palaces playing Brighton the night before the London gig, so might end up going to that! See if the C-Dogg fancies it. Whoop! Off to Pingo Doce, um, I mean Madeira tomorrow, eek! If only we were going in December, as this film festival looks wonderful http://mmiff.com The town is only 25 mins away from where we are by bus, so might go there just for a day as it looks stunning, maybe you can pay to use the infinity pool at the hotel too, that would be nice. I've decided i'm not doing a dream team this year, can't be arsed. Ed of an era. Enjoy Jabberwocky, I look forward to returning to a small dissertation on the festival, including a breakdown on the Dyson hand dryers they seem so proud of x

Visions sounds like it was a right old do! You and Mr WK now bessie mates? COCO! You want to go to the o2 for that? So annoying it's there. We went to the proper Brooklyn Bowl in NY but only for a drink, we'll go bowling next time. Really liking the new Spoon, love them boys. Caribou is growing a bit, Mars may be my stand out track so far. Definitely not the one with the girl singing. Ugh. I'm hoping on Flylo to make my AOTY now! Joe? Oh hello Joe, Joe Joe, Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe, Joe Joe, Joe Joe, Joe, Joe Joe, etc. Go watch GOTG!

...Far to much food over the last few days though, 5 course taster menu at Langshott, massive breakfast and cream tea, then meat fest back in Brighton, followed by a roast on Sunday. My insides still hate me! Adam was slap fee, Vicky seemed fine post mega cycle, Tunch was beyond handsome, all round good times. I would recommend seeing GotG, but then I preferred Joe overall, so what do I know! It’t really enjoyable fun, but a lot of the extended action set pieces boarded me to tears. Some amazing dialogue/banter in it, and the old gang in it is great (excluding the two demential underwritten female character, as is Marvel's want). So your Jabberwocky stage times are great! Gutted to miss it, but pleased I have 50% of toG there to do the research for next year! Enjoy Coco, dance your little feet off! Can;t believe I’m on holiday on Friday, can't wait now! x

I’m no lunatic! You’re a lunatic, for giving Joe (Mr. Joe to me and you) a solid 6. I clearly liked it a lot more than you guys, it’s no masterpiece thats for sure, but I thought it was very good, just never great. Great to see David Gordon Green return to this style of filmmaking, and that he may bounce between this and frat boy comedies. I thought Cage was excellent, but it wasn’t a return to form as he never lost form! I have an irrational problem with Tye Sheridan playing these roles, he’s just to clean cut to be that families kid, but hey ho. A solid 7(.5) from me. Visions sounds fun, you an WK living it up, talking Rampton! How was the after party, good times? I agree with your Polica points, don;t understand how she’s so big! Have to try and see the Range another time, sounds good! The big 3-0 weekend was good thanks, lovely times at Langshott Manor on Friday night....

I'm no lunatic, I'm just your friendly drowned in sound reader: http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/music/4444683 and the clashfinder is on there, all clashy and findy. I think I would choose Dirty Beaches out of those two, but then you know, I have spectacular ears. I did not know that s t a r g a z e, had worked with Nils Frahm and Pantha du Prince, but still, any band that sounds like a school dance group can't be taken seriously. I'm seeing Guardians of the Galaxy tonight, which should be fun times. I may have one of those cinema spirits in a black coffee, yummy. I look forward to a small dissertation on Joe tomorrow. I once saw this goat leak itself into this trough, true story! http://www.slrobertson.com/images/europe/turkey/goat-drinking-b.jpg Cheeky goat. GOAT. That imaginary collaboration would be very special, make it happen Dan, make it so! OH FUCK! s t a r g a z e are playing too, count me in/out/shake/about. Yeah, I read that, but still no dice, I can't justify it, even with s t a r g a z e! That's a lovely day, what about ending on the joyful Perfume Genius? Listened to the Range album last night, thanks for that, it's really good, I think I only played it after listening to the EP first before, so it suffered in comparison, but yeah, its great. Thanks for the code. I don't think i'm that fussed about seeing Julia Holter again right now, I really enjoyed her last year, but I have enough on the horizon now! So the United friendlies went quite well. Villa still on 100% win rate too, it's that Joe Cole, he's a genus. Or something. Managed to find that mix, listened to all the Dark Star tracks, real club bangers. Sorry man, already made plans to go to the expo, I thought you were doing it on Friday first. I can only remember the meantime and pizza. Doubling up on both was the greatest decision of my life/day/afternoon. Thanks for the nice positive words about young Kieran 'next Giggsy' Richard-Giggsy. It basically means we will definitely play the Holland system of 5-3-2 next season, with him down the left wing back, which is a real concern. We are at our best with the three pronged attack of Gabby-Bentekkers-Weimann, but that won't happen any more. Joe Cole is going to be the creative of a three man midfield of him Westwood and Delph, Jesus we are domed! It's fine though cause Bent is back from Fulham and scored twice in a friendly. YES. a good 75%, i'm dining at casa de Curtis on Friday, see if we can get it up to 100%! Let me give the new album a listen then I'll let you know about the SP gig. Get a ticket for the Luke Abbott gig, join us. Free Migration is a SBTOTY contender! AWVFTS are playing in Brighton before their London gig in October, so might have to go see them twice in four days, like a sad little fanboy. I doubt I will go to the London gig in Feb if I do that though, so if the Interpol album lives up to the first tracks standards then I may keep an eye out on that bad boy and re-live the past (and enjoy the present) with you. This passed me by (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28271907) What a team we will have next year, at least Okore will be back from injury, and fill the inevitable void of Vlaar leaving! x

There was a lot of sport chat actually, but mainly quoting the English Office and Brass Eye. I was hanging both days, really naughty but wasn't my standard can't get out of bed one. Went to loads of really cool bars including one they filmed a scene from Inglorious Bastards in! Went to the old red light district too you know what I mean? Saw Moulin Rouge, the place not the shite film. Went out dancing one night, the talent was all over me, standard. Fucking iTunes Festival, why can't he just play a normal show? Why's he messing with us? I've not heard the new SP, didn't even realise they had a new album. I can't get that link to work, is it meant to be clickable? Here he is, back once again with the old gang master. That sounds like the only way to watch Nigeria vs. Bosnia! How good was South Korea v Algeria, great way to end the weekend. Oh and what a weekend it was too. We all got quite merry, but good old Ginny got hammered at PP's 3rd birthday drinks on Friday night, great stuff! So that was fun/ny. Saw the slap on Friday and Saturday and watched Lego movie on beach with Rufus. Then Sunday went to Eastbourne to Towner, then to Paradise Park after. You would love Paradise Park, it's in Newhaven, and everything seems dinosaur based! It's pretty great and pretty massive too. The gardens are Sussex themed, and have monuments celebrating places in Sussex, including the Southwick Power Station. Hope all is well with you, what have you been up to post MADchester? I'm loving this new post Primavera Dan on last, shout response time is up 214%. If you got up a bit earlier Thursday you would have opened it with the best thing of the whole bloody festival! Miserable, but best! I would have sacked off Darkside for some lovely National, but it makes sense, I guess. Poor guys, weeping into their dressing room once they found out you sacked them off. Great overview though, looking forward to some detail on Sat! So, you get to see Mogwai again, yay! I think the Friday in Bristol is a must, but then I would! Angel Olsen for me tonight, looking forward to it, she best be good! I fully expect you to shuffle off for Jaako on Sat, you mad man you. Jesus, I forgot to mention the National! How could you, not even for half an hour? I watched about six tracks on the live stream before end (rock and roll), and he seemed wasted, and they seemed really great, apart from when the Bon Iver dude came out for Slow Show and ruined the end. You've seen them play the latest stuff before though, haven't you, so fair enough. Two of the Walkmen joined them too, you know that? The National AND the Walkmen! Oh well. In all the excitement I forgot to ask if you have had a chance to listen to the new Phantom Band album? It's streaming on DIS (http://drownedinsound.com/news/4147820-album-stream--the-phantom-bands-proto-robofolk-masterpiece-strange-friend) and I really like it. Wasn't to sure at first, but have given it a fare few listens since, and I'm really enjoying it. Could end up being the best traditional indie album this year, if that makes sense. Very them with lots of Menomena and TV on the Radio thrown in on the side, I'm liking a lot now x

I am looking forward to seeing them again at Jabberwockinuyter. I saw the Arcade Fire setlist which was pretty sweet, bet that would have been proper fun. I hope many a slice of pizza was eaten in the food court while drying off. How did he offend the drummer?? Thats the beauty of primavera, when you write it all down the amount of amazing bands you see is incredible. Well played sir. i do really want to go back sometime soon, who bloody knows when though. I want to know more about this Haim telling off! Sounds like a plan mr Dan, get some drinks and watch the tasty drink man from the back of the main stage, then head back for a bit of Terje! Lovely. I'm game for watching EIY then going and seeing most of Metronomy then, but only if I can hold your hand? Every time I try and load that youtube link it crashes my safari, what is a boy to do? We saw them in Belfast last year innit, they were fucking awesome. Did you know we're also going to the Josh Homme solo show at Meltdown in a couple weeks? Number 1 fan over here. I don't like SBTRKT so that's good to hear, no Pixies oh well, no big deal if sound was shit. How about NMH and Arcade Fire? 4 girls from Tinder?? As in ones you've met up with before? Wow, what a top five, Metronomy number 1 huh, I have no interest in seeing them, despite this incredible placing in the old top five list! Now I have said that watch me watch them (and love them) on Saturday! I was going to say the same thing, who are Antibalas, but T-Dogg beat me to it, that handsome fast bastard. Did you not see NMH? You're welcome to hit either last box up with a full review, thats cool, I can just get minor details from you on Sat. Thanks for the offer, but we are staying at Tunch and Lindsays, as Nonny and Rufus may come up on the Sat too. They are definitely coming up Sunday for the day, but this way we have the option if Nonny fancies the whole weekend in the big smoke. I have never heard of Jaako Eino Kalevi over, but you will miss Holden and Souleyman to see him, wow! Think of the beads!
