Lol it's the greatest laneway lineup ever imo. RUN THE JEWELS AND DANNY BROWN! YEWWW. But yeah, I seriously can't wait. Bunch of artists that inspire me like xxyyxx, mt kimbie, four tet and jamie too. I really doubt it could get any better. Also, I think it's impossible to over-listen to the National. Been listening to em for like 4 years and it's like listening to em for the first time, every time. The mark of a great band.

Thanks! great feedback as per uuussh. I might have made the highs a little too pronounced at the chorus actually. I'll keep it in mind. haha just noticed that you've been playing quite a lot of the national recently. Such a great band. Was lucky enough to see em at a really cool venue in NYC a couple years back. Amazing. You going laneway?

Thanks a heap! It's always good to get feedback from fellow weeknd/beat music enthusiasts/obsessives. Yeah he's pretty amazing. Listening to him while I'm cutting his voice in loops and reverbing that shit made me question my sexuality. He really does add something new to the table though. So excited. As for the beat, I'm pretty huge on shlohmo's percussion LOL and it shows. It's actually a draft for a full band cover we're releasing on an EP later so our drummers gonna change it around quite a bit. It's a pretty exciting time for us actually. Won't forget about my last fm mates when I'm so totally famous

ooooooh good point! the only the weeknd i'd listened to since i started liking drake has been enemy, i go through phases haha. um um um summadayze? possibly? yeaah his album made it to a pretty decent spot in the itunes charts i think. when the day comes, tickets will be bought immediately, no questions asked haha.

RIGHT, every live performance i come across seems to be wicked games haha, not that i mind. noo it's good he did the zone, for some reason i really liked that live version hah, the original has never been much of a fave. will he make the trek though! i can't really see him at any of our festivals...but possibly if he was doing a world tour thing. has he toured outside of europe and the us before? he really shouldn't play favourites haha, it's so cruel.

holy jesus fucking christ, montreal gave me the chills! the knowing is such an epic song, it maybe doesn't sound aas good live..but still amazing. i'm just going to listen to this page for the rest of the night haha, even though it will make me sad. i would seriously contemplate travelling to see him haha.

yeah that always happens to me! so even if an album is awful, i always listen at least twice to make sure i'm not basing too much on my first impression. hence my twitter rant haha. but if that is the case, at least they have that song to redeem themselves. bahaha the first 30 seconds, how did that happen? it does sound interesting though, i will try and download it. annoying, i went to spotify it but it's not there! i've become too dependant haha.

OOH YOU HAVE! ahh excellent stuff. magical is really the only way to describe active child, i mean that voice...and the harp....the only drawback to the album is it's so addictive haha. let me know if how to dress well are worth the listen!

Hahaha I wish... Some people devote their lives to music, I see it more as a means to escape from all the other shit in life, so it's my little cave haha, sure you've got one as well. Right now the only fans I have are two mates and my dog (hmm sounds like a good name for a sitcom).. I'll get there one day :D Hahaha you never know, it might have coincidentally been named born underwater, just this time it managed to make you look a little silly lol. I love picking out samples in songs, yeah cause I'm awesome like that. Mmm obscure lyrics or even messing with a sample until its fubar is good. Haha I'll get to Jacques Greene soon, one artist at a time..

And thanks! Haha, yeah I used to make quite a few in high school, but they were pretty simple bangers while these are sample based and a lot more textured... I'm trying to sample more obscure artists as I go on though, since a lot of the stuff is too easy to pick out. Awesome feedback, totally get what you mean about emotion, I always felt that ending started to linger on for too long, plus the samples were a little messed up. Zoning out is a good thing! Pretty much what I intended haha. Who knows, I could probably be the aussie answer to Jamie xx one day.. (LOL jks)

Defs, I'll get on em soon. Haha I just downloaded all of Nosaj's stuff, so that'll take up a bit of my time. And pffft Bloom was amazing, duno what you're talking about... Sometimes a bit of consistency works well, since both bands are so unique. Haha I love female leads in bands, especially Bjork and Portishead. I'm actually really liking Holy Other's new album... Gets me in a freaky mood, then again, the best music always does :P

Ohh wasn't actually saying that I wasn't a Drake Fan, just not a fan of his take care 'remake'. Guess I'm embarrassed that I'm a Drake fan as well then haha. I liked Take Care (the album) and I love that James Blake/Drake remix tape and Chi Duly's Drake/Coldplay mixtape, plus anything he does with the Weeknd too. OMFG, that Forever remix was 10x better than the original... Where has Nosaj thing been all my life! Can't believe I'd never heard this guy before... Uber danke! And my list is pretty much identical except for Ghostory and Greene (I'll get on to that).. Add Dr. John and Beach House to it. Yep, fellow Otis fan, can't say I'm a hardcore fan but I do love his music.. Especially Otis Blue and dock of the bay. Much appreciated if you check my amateur stuff out :P http://soundcloud.com/nandobobando It's not much, but it'd be good to get an opinion!

Haha soul is first and foremost my musical love so yep, I loved 'we're new here', and its pretty much why your charts are so impressive (otis :D). Actually didn't like it when Drake pretty much stole the entire song, he took the soul out of it. Haven't heard nosaj thing but I'll get on to it! Jamie reminds me of burial quite a bit... Especially his recent stuff and his production on coexist. I really liked that mixtape 'further near beat for' I think it was called.. I'm totally into the whole clams casino sound now though.. It's amazing. Got a top 5 releases this year list? If so, what do think makes the cut?

Yeah I totally agree with you on that.. The album was decent, but didn't have that wow factor since it wasn't much of a departure.. Lacked the 'Bon iver effect' haha. And Jamie is fuarken siiiiick. I actually prefer his stuff as well. Btw, speaking of Lana, there's this YouTube remix artist named melo-X who does an amaaaazing cover/remix of video games, check it out!

Yeah she's okay to look at I guess... Although the post surgery Lana does look a little scary at times. Yeah I agree with you on the xx, Ive been listening to coexist pretty often and although I expected so much more, I guess I'm content with them sticking with that same sound. They've learnt to 'coexist' with their fame and sound I guess :P So it doesn't really wow me but sticks to the same formula I guess... With a bit more jamie, and I kinda like that... If that makes sense

Woot woot! Haha definitely feeling honoured here... Such a privilege. Your charts are quite amazing. Kudos to most of the stuff youve been bumping in the last week.. Except for Ms. Del Rey.. Don't care too much for her stuff tbh :/ Don't hold it against me!

ahh this is tough. i enjoy about 90% of the new album so i think it would be worth it. i'm amazed tickets haven't sold out yet! i think i can afford it, so if you want to go, i will go:) and yeah i bought it for cheap at jb and was surprised myself with how much i liked his music. i swear my music taste is all over the place these days haha. it's kind of a mix of styles, i really don't know if you would or wouldn't like it! i can just lend it to you if you want hah

I'm really trying to cut down on the number of shows i attend, im getting so poor from it. i do like the new album, but in saying that it doesn't appeal to me in the same way that their first one did.to loose my life, was an album you fall in love with instantly, but with ritual i am not really feeling the same way, i still really like it though. close white lies but no cigar.
