No worries. i AM esper is my project btw. I wouldn't consider my work 'dark ambient' its mostly all guitar based drone ambient my earlier works had influences from metal, but now its more post-rock and shoegaze influenced drone ambient. Cheers - justin

Yes, Austra is not bad, but I started listen to them because I'm searching bands and artist with strange voices. I also find things from Hildegard von Bingen, and more Diamanda Galás, Jarboe and Lisa Gerrard stuff. :D I need this kind of music. Do you know something similar? And thanks for your recommendations, I will listen them!

Oh yes, I see it in the John Foxx Store, but I don't know if I must order it or not XD Evidence is good, but to me, it's not Interplay. Their last two albums have brilliants songs but I miss the perfection of their first album. :D Thanks for your comment ^^

Hi Rob, yes great to finally meet up. I have to say, the Covenant gig was one of the most enjoyable I've been to in a LONG time! I recorded "Bullet" and "Ritual Noise" with my phone, when I get a chance I'll upload the videos to FB (pity I can't do it here).

I agree, it is too short..... Maybe they did that deliberately, as part of the whole 'retro' vibe to the album - 40 mins was about average length in the 'old' days.... Needs to be on vinyl - the song 'Interplay' sounds such an 'end of side one' track....Keep thinking I ought to get up to change it over after it finishes.... :-)

Thanks for the add! 'Shipwrecks' and 'Interplay' are wonderfully addictive albums..... 'Interplay' really does sound like a 30 year delayed follow up to Metamatic....but contemporary sounding too.... Excellent stuff!

Yeah, excellent, so far anyway, haven't quite got through all of it yet. Reminds me a lot of Hard Wired mixed with Artificial plus Millennium's guitar work. Good Industrially sound and catchy. I also downloaded two extra tracks that are not part of the cd but the download deluxe version. Why they didn't stick these on Shifting through the lens as b-sides I don't know instead of Angriff which is on the album anyway?

Hey I went to the Out Of Line Fest in London when Hocico never made it, heard it was something to do with their documents being invalid at customs or something. Thought Spetsnaz almost made up for the loss though. Caught Hocico the following March at Slimes, were fantastic. Hopefully now they've relocated to Germany we'll see more of them on our shores.

Absolutely, reckon the Birmingham show is one of the better ones line-up wise on the UK tour. Flag's pulled in some good bands for it. I'm hoping the gigs so good Erk wants to come back and perform as Hocico!

I haven't even been to the new Eddie's yet, and only went when it was in the form of The Newt once! Got loads of fond memories of old Eddie's and I know the new one won't be the same, will be trying it out soon enough though...CombiChrist!!!!

yeah, i had some guys who must've been about 50 something sat next to me and while i was going crazy , they did not look impressed!!! i ended up moving along to stand up with a few others that were dancing in the seats. 6 of us in total... people weren't amused. Combi were amazing though... even more amazing cos Joe (Letz) sorted me out with guest list!!! it was awesome!
