Hi Bil...yeah, I made it to the Manchester show. The band were very tight and on top form. It was an all standing gig which meant that i could get right to the front to take a few pics. If i ever find a place to post them I will. All in all, a great night which me and my wife enjoyed enormously my friend.

Good Morning, backatcha! Thinking of Dale as I'm playing some Tim Berne, Frank Wright and Peter Brotzmann. BTW, coming out of the house yesterday afternoon who should I run into but Tony Biglan going door to door to register voters - with Obama and Merkley pins smartly in place.

Hi C4b: This cat's name is Dusty. I got turned on to Todd Rundgren in 1974 (the food color in you hair days) and have been a fan ever since. I've only seen him once in concert in Cleveland during his "No World Order" tour. I suppose I have all the Nazz, Utopia and Todd records/CDs except for the bootleg stuff. I started to read the Todd ‘A Dream goes on Forever” book but haven’t finished it yet. Glad to find someone else who appreciates his style. I've been on a Todd kick this week; last week was Renaissance, Genesis & 10CC. I'm sorry to say I've never heard of Bill Evans, I'm going to give your library a try. Craig

Hi Bill. You are way lucky living over there. Todd rarely comes to these shores. I think I last saw him about 3 years ago with Joe Jackson and Ethel...superb as ever

C4B, I am so gonna let you slide. :) Nope Avril, Lily, Scream'n Jay and even the Conet Project (which is just shortwave radio noise!) have been in and out of my top 50, never number 1. They are what they are, but no Pantheon like stature was ever accorded them. LOL. Ok, I'll behave myself, what TR should I try. :)

Because we are dear friends I'll share one of my greatest fears with you. The fear is, is that I have Alzheimers. And in my last 3-months I can remember nothing save the tune, Hello, It's Me which rattles tortuously around in my head in one unending, saccharinous drenched, oh my god I'm gonna loose my stomach, loop. Hold on! That's a Todd tune isn't it? LMAO!

WRTI does Jazz @ night, classical during the day, not ideal but OK I guess. Their selections are really focused on the most commercial stuff. I'm stressed by that, being an old school out-cat of sorts. It was still called The Point back in my day, and I wrote about changes to the format back in 1984 for the Temple News.

Hey c4b, JT was wonderful, holding forth to the sea of baby boomers in attendance sprinkled generously with younger folks. Almost without exception JT got a standing ovation after every tune, and prolonged ovations after their classic signature tunes like Nothing is Easy, and Aqualung. Ian Anderson certainly lived up to his rep. and was an entertaining MC as well. Just a wonderful concert!
