I'm doing ok, man. How are you doing? Yes, I've been listening to Ray lately. I really liked 'Trouble' and started listening to the rest of his stuff on Spotify. He sings a lot of sorrowful stuff, and I can only take so much of that at a time. His singing is awesome, though. I feel it. I also like Amos Lee and there's a guy I ran across a few months back with 'Slim' in his name, I believe, who I'd like to check out again.

Hahaha! I've actually been playing High Violet a ton (but LastFM doesn't record CD plays!) So far, it is definitely one of my favorite albums released this year. But yes, this site reveals my skeletons, doesn't? Winger? What the fuck is wrong with me!? :D

hey, i'm glad that olivia's in your lives, and making you great parents. that's very cool. i've put aside my ancestral research for a while, because i could no longer afford the ancestry.com membership. i've moved toward a focus on more steady work and to getting my place rented. i got the place rented in sept, moving a little bit north of here to a cheaper solution. i've been applying at restaurants and hotels. i started working on a portfolio page for copywriting, but didn't get too far yet. my html/web skills are not that good. i think life should get a little better with this move, less stress. i'm glad you're writing too. maybe we can be writing critics for each other. i need one of those. it helps for motivational purposes.

hola, chris! como estas? i'm doing okay, thanks. i've probably had much too much 'spare time' over the past two months, since i was laid off, but it's given me some time to re-evaluate some goals. i'm back to looking for work, but i am also working on a couple big writing projects -- one, dealing with some of my ancestors from south carolina and bermuda, and another, based on my personal experiences, focusing on the past 12 years, or so. if i were a disciplined writer i'd be putting together an online porfolio for freelance writing, but i took the side-track. how about you, man? how are you?
