Hey Ingrid...that is exactly why I added you to my lastfm friends list. Well, there was a selfish motive. I found that my "Recommendations" station was getting a bit repetitive. Hence, I figured the only way to shake things up was to add last fm folks that not only have common favorite artists but also common VARIATIONS along the pop/rock spectrum. That is a lot harder to find. It goes without saying that you have awesome taste and I figured I'd discover new stuff through your lastfm library/station. I've become a bit of a lastfm library stalker these last few days!!! Have an awesome thanksgiving!!! - Pranav

I LOVE Bar Harbor! Reminds me a bit of Asheville, NC, but nicer, at least in the summertime. Is your school right near the main downtown area? C&J did play Maine, it was the next stop after the Exeter, NH show that I attended. Oh, the Duckworh Lewis Method is Neil Hannon and that jolly fellow from Pugwash. Album of the year, for sure. There is a new C&J album that has been in the works for years. Chad is producing and is nearly finished, so it should be out during the first half of 2010. There was a DVD that was completed too, but there's been some legal beezwax so that might not end up seeing the light of day.

I'm in New Jersey, yourself? I saw C&J in NJ, Long Island, Connecticut, Rhode Island (at a really cool arthouse cinema), Massachusettes, and New Hampshire. The three shows in NJ would have been enough for me, but I love road trips & seeing new towns, and a friend of mine (who is pretty much their biggest fan) was always down for doing the driving. Have you heard the Duckworth Lewis Method album?

Hey Ingrid! Thanks, you have excellent taste as well. Very cool to see someone else who's into both The Divine Comedy and Chad & Jeremy. Have you seen C&J live? I've been to quite a few of their shows over the past few years. They always put on a great show, very cool & serious, not your typical goofy nostalgia. They play all the hits, plus album tracks (including one or two from Cabbages & Kings and The Ark), and new stuff (which is as good as the old stuff). I'm kind of Chad & Jeremy'd out though, so I really hope that Neil Hannon makes it over here when he puts out the new album. Hope you're doing great.

Thank you. I try. (I love my doom and my folk. And, of course, all music should be a psychedelic trip.) Yes. And AWESOME!

I didn't know it was Neil Hannon singing on Yann Tiersen's "Les Jours tristes." I am venturing off into The Divine Comedy finally. I like his voice!
