Thanks for the shout! I've never really played in a band, I've only been jamming sometimes with a few friends who play guitar and piano. They haven't been studying as much as I do, so we've never been very productive together. It would be great though to know musicians like people who play baritone saxophone, bass clarinet, cello, clavichord, acoustic or electronic organ, that would be awesome. :P On the other hand, I haven't got that much time to make music (school, job...) so I can better use my time to get better at playing the guitar (recording stuff is a great practice and getting feedback is very helpful) so I can form a serious band in a few years, when I'm finished studying and I'm a more skilled musician. I've only been playing for 5 years now. :P

Hi Alun - Christ, I've not been on Last.FM for ages. Never really clicked with it as a way of finding new music. Doesn't really have much of a community feel. Much prefer The Word magazine's bulletin boards - excellent blather on music and anything else, with very high signal-to-noise ratio. And for exploration, I just hang around the eMusic site. Found loads of good electronica, krautrock and more, including Half Man Half Biscuit's entire back-catalogue. Get yourself to The Word, boy.
