I know what you mean about collect:erase- I've been really getting into that style of thing lately, I call it dark IDM. It doesn't seem pounding enough to be power noise, but too harsh for, er, "normal" IDM... nice to know I'm not the only one geeky enough to have pondered this. :) Heh, as for LPD, "dissing" is a strong word I think... like I told him I can see the talent, I think I'm just not hearing the right stuff- it's not that I was ever disgusted by them or anything, just never really excited either. I did listen to some while I still had Simplify set up, which is where I heard "Princess Coldheart", which I did like. I'll take some direction from your post & give them another chance.

I assume you're talking about the split he did with Scrap.edx, since I see it on your "recent" list... killer stuff indeed. Circle the Squares is pretty good too, but not as harsh as that. I think I like Scrap.edx better, but eM doesn't have anything else (yet). A couple more in that style I've just gotten recently (still passing judgement): Keef Baker & Burial- possibly old news, and on the mellower side, but I'm digging so far.

Also check out the Schwarzenegger Series here: http://www.net-lab.co.uk/ (more free stuff). If you like it glitchy, Ebola has stuff on eM, I also recommend Duran Duran Duran & Rotator for that sort of thing. I've only really begun to delve into this stuff in the last year or so myself, so I'm still finding new stuff myself... I'll keep you posted. :)

Sure do. :) first off, for some free stuff: http://www.archive.org/details/exegene Somewhere was a legal torrent of the whole collection, quick google didn't turn it up right off. On eM: Synkro, Defragmentation, Panacea, Phace, Techno Animal, Scorn. Also worth seeking out: Noisia (on beatport, but expensive), Technical Itch.

Ok, I see your name in front of a song name there... hook a guy up? :) Also, another rec for ya... kind of a weird one this time. Grabbed it from eM my last time around- [artist]Current Value[/artist]. They're listed under drum and bass, but I'd say they have a very industrial aesthetic. Of course, listen before you download on my say-so, but I think you might like...

Yeah, a bit... had one of their albums at one point, which I remember liking. And that one station in WI that had the industrial show on the weekend played Soundmirror every week. :) Never really thought of that before, but I can see your point. Similarly, I remember wondering why you didn't hear more about them as opposed to, say, FLA- which is what I wonder about ZiA & the current ebm crop.
