Hey, Cami. Thanks for stopping by. You've got some great artists in your library too. I see you've been listening to a string of Emmylou songs :-) But besides that, you seem to have good taste in music. Thanks for the friendship and thanks for joining the group Country Artist of the Week. Hope you have a great week!!

.... from above ..... let see, firstly the fact that they are virtually exclusively female - if you look at my library you will see it reflects the same sort of ratio, either female artists, female bands or at the least, female fronted bands - you see I don't particularly like males lol. Oh, individually I know some nice enough ones & of course musically there are some really great male bands and artists, but taken as a whole - well, what I feel must come close to loathing *grin* ... Now of course this probably says a lot about me & is tied in with my own sense of gender and hatred of the gender and body I got stuck with at birth & maybe with regularly being bullied, called a sissy, poof, etc. throughout my childhood lol. So for any number of reasons, I am only ever truly comfortable with women :) .... see below ......

...from above.... Secondly, age - that is a result of a few factors I think, partly from what I can see, a massive predominance of under 30's on the site, I would think the majority is under 25 for that matter :) the rest is all sort of tied together, It is not so much that I've never grown up - more that I've never grown old *grin* and I'm not talking physically here - I wish I was! lol. But as the years have passed it is like my peers have grown further and further away from me to the point where I now rarely find any common ground with those my age :) .. one of the clearest manifestations of this is music - I still avidly seek out new music, embrace the experimental, the different, constantly find joy in pushing the edge - where my age peers are bemoaning the death of music since the good old days! Ugh! ... see below.....

.... from above.... The same goes for clothing, appearance – I have multiple facial piercings – etc, etc ... So partly because of the music in my library & partly because of my own personality my friends on here are a lot younger lol. B... Thirdly – our friend Master Jedi uses a robot, a piece of software to automatically generate friend request to people he whose profile he’s never even looked at let alone spoken with *grin* A vastly different approach to mine – I come to look at peoples profiles through various directions, either they’ve visited my page, left a comment, might be in my neighbours, or like yours, I’ve seen a comment somewhere that draws me to their page, quite often I will leave a comment, a dialogue is entered into – and in perhaps 70% of the cases, maybe more, it is the other person who makes a friend request lol. ... see below....

....from above ...... God, I’m sorry for being so long winded, it is not that I was offended or annoyed by what was only part of your shout – quite the reverse, it amused me and also made me think – something I horribly prone to do :)) the you get stuck with a long carefully thought out response lmao. .... Now to the rest of your remarks :)) ... Our taste is not as different as you might think – I’ve looked through your library& there are dozens of bands in there that I like, even though they are not in my library – mostly because they are male!! lol. Many years ago I made a decision to concentrate on collecting only the female artist bands etc. – I made an exception for female fronted bands & also placed particular emphasis on lesbian artists – Of course, the bottom line was I had to like the music!! *grin* and as you say, variety is the spice of life – or as the French say “vive la difference”.... see below...

.... from above...... If you are ever prepared to talk to me again after receiving this incredibly long shout, I would like to hear in what way I remind you of your friend – I apologise for the length of the shout – It is another area where I differ from Master Jedi and most collectors, I actually like talking to people & if you run back through my shout box history, you will see something that I think is rather interesting, a lot of people respond with much longer posts than you generally see – maybe nothing quite as epic as mine can get – but where you mostly see one line shouts, barely a sentence, on my page you tend to see paragraphs lol. – Ah well, I am really pleased to have met you & thank you for the friend request, which I gladly accept ... I promise not to be quite so long winded next shout – one or two boxes only! promise *grin* Michaela xox

Hi :) just had to drop by, I see you've met Master Jedi, the Collector! *grin* nice to see you identified him as such lol. I also received one of his little robot's requests, one look at his page and friends list was enough to see friendship had little to do with his requests *grin* I accepted his request and refreshed the page to leave him a pointed comment only to find I had been beaten to the punch by TheFilmFatale lol. So I added my 2 cents worth and ended up in a dialogue with him about whether he really was a collector of young pretty things - his robot was definitely of the mark with me! The best thing was TheFilmFatale & I became friends! *grin* Anyway I just saw your comment on his page and wanted to say hi - especially as you are Australian too :) Take care, Michaela.

hi , Foreigner, Ben Harper, John Mayall, Frank Zappa and The Chemical Brothers as common bands is enough for me. Medium compat is good , usually i have low with most friends beacause of eclectic listening habits. Is nice (i think ) to have a collection of different musical tastes allover the world. I also play with last.fm stats. I see John Mayall is among your fav albums , so compability is high for me.
