Hey man, more recommendations! 1) Blood Ceremony - The Eldrich Dark - pretty interesting mix of doom and 60-70's hard rock (like hard rock Pentagram and Deep Purple) with female vocals, flute and organ. 2) Black Moth - Killing Jar - another female fronted band, this one has more stoner metal/rock in it, nothing spectacular in terms of riffing or ideas but still pretty damn catchy! 3) Orchid - The Mouths of Madness, even though I find their first album more amusing this one is still very strong release in which they actually almost stopped "copying" Black Sabbath's riffs and song structure.

Anyway, I remember you did not like Morbid Saint becayse of the production, try out their re-mastered release - "Thrashaholic". Oh and check out Orchid's album "Capricorn" - very good classic doom metal.

Hey, did you check Dopefight's split with Dead Existance? I think their songs on it are also very good. As for Acephalix - I like some of the riffing, it pretty interesting for crust, IMHO. Glad that you like SubRosa so much, I did not check out their debut album, I wonder how it is. Vault Dweller is awesome, even though the production could use some fixing. Now you should check out Trap Them - Darker Handcraft and I will stop bothering you with my suggestions for now. I will check out Elder as soon as possible, thanks.

Haha, I would say the same about Vastum - to me they sound more epic and bombastic '-) Well, keep on checking. Try Acephalix's "Aporia" maybe you'll find it more attractive.

If you liked Vastum - then definitely check out Acephalix's "Intemindable Night" - same members, a little bit different DM style, but I like it more. And no, I never heard of Midnight.

I would not say "progressive" but different - yes. They decided to go with more modern sound and make things more complicated. I liked it better then K2B's "V".

I agree that K2B is *still* underrated. I've loved them from the beginning and can't believe I hadn't caught them live yet so I'm excited about the show. I do hope there's a decent turnout but not so decent that I can't see anything. :)

Listened to new from Machine Head - they should bring back Vio-Lence already. As far as Send More Paramedics - for me Demolition Hammer's "Epidemic of Violence" is in similar situation - never was into this record until now. SMP are definitely fun.

Did not really like K2B's "V", it seemed a bit too empty to me. Check out Tank86's "Rise", it's a good album, has a lot of fun riffing. I listened to new Anthrax release - it's very hard to call it thrash album (there is nothing thrashy about it except for maybe Beladonna's voice). Oh, and check out Dopefight's "Buds"!

BTW, check out Casbah's "Russian Roulette" if you have not yet.

Damn, that some kick-ass show. I wish I would be there to see that ,-( Listened closely to Tank86 - it's much more brutal and technical compared to their previous releases. I like it though. K2B's "V" is meh. Dopethrone's "Dark Foil" is playing over and over in my headphones. It's an epic mix of stoner with some sludge, riffing is just so awesome (even though I am not sure if you'll like it since it sounds very close to the Church of Misery).

The Gates Of Slumber's Wretch is awesome. Listen to the Misamal self titled and I just discovered another awesome stoner doom band - Dopethrone, check out their latest - Dark Foil. Oh, and Tank 86 released their first LP, listened to it once so far, not sure yet whether I like it, but it has a lot of riffing that's a fact. And K2B has released "V" that II need to relisten as well.

Hmm,. I guess I lost my grip ,-( I feel sad that you did not like them ,-( Listening to the newest Gates Of Slumber album, so far it's quite awesome, I like the return to "Conqueror"'s style vocals.

Mmmm, I like only one record by OG which is Time Traveling Blues (the one I introduced you to). And yeah, I like my doom serious too, but there are always some exceptions (look at The Lamp Of Thoth for example). Oh, and check out Doomraiser's "Erasing the Remembrance" - they sound like Apostle Of Solitude mixed with Dozer (I know it sounds impossible). Interesting stuff.

Well if you compare EW to Stonehelm the second one is muuch less serious (they even have a song inspired by Fallout VG and others are all about weed), maybe that's why I like it more '-)

Hmm, now that I listen to Stonehelm once again I think it's the best effort at stoner doom as of lately (not that I heard much)...

Umm, I never was a huge fan of EW, Come My Fanatics is a good album, same with Dopethrone. BTW, in addition to Miasmal, check out Stonehelm's self-titled (if you have not already), very nice stoner doom. Kind of a mix between Gates of Slumber and Warhorse.
