i've just started really :) it's mood music for me, nothing i can listen to at any time really, but sometimes it works really well :D oooh, super happy that you're enjoying it! we all hate it when albums get repetitive (sometimes it can be a good thing though, but needs to serve a purpose), so that's definitely something we have in mind while writing stuff. the artist that made the cover is a friend of mine, same that made the logo :) she's actually made a picture that's very similar looking to that agalloch album before, so that was a picture we used as reference feeling wise for our cover!

I'm seriously thinking about attending to that show in London if I can afford that, unplugged Opeth might be a unique experience..., and I'm gonna make it to one other show, maybe in Luxembourg. I'm going to any single show listed in my schedule...or try haha (at least 90% of them)

Hey, are you going to that unplugged show in London? I'm looking forward for it... although I know it will be some kind of a hassle but I'll anyway manage to do it !

Ha, I basically had the same thoughts. The first two tracks are great - long, telling a story, atmospheric and in particular memorable. Drag Ropes has some very good moments like Mikael's solo at the end (it has to be his). Ljudet Innan would probably rank thirth for me. The others are somehow closer to Heritage and not as accessible. :erk: At first I thought Mikael had very few vocal parts, too. [edited my shout lul]

Yeah we had a train to catch at 11:25, typical, the only time we had to leave at dead on 11 to get home is the only time we see a show that overran past 11! So gutted I missed Empires Fall, I really would have loved to hear that live but I can't complain when the rest of the set was so great! I couldn't agree with you more about the ears, my ears still haven't recovered yet in fact I ordered some earplugs last night to make sure I'll have some with me next time. I think I'll be much more careful about where I stand in future, I don't want permanent Tinnitus :S

I was going to make a witty comeback but then I realized I'm not even sure how to properly pronounce "Daemonia Nymphe". :C

Haha, not at all, you should be proud of your hair, and that's how I recognised you in the first place xD! it should be easier to spot you this time, considering the venue isn't too big. I'd say look out for a girl with red hair but that doesn't really work at metal shows lol, I will probably be wearing my Slough Feg t shirt and will be with two guys, and I'm sure my nose is far stranger ;D although I won't be there until 8pm at the earliest, I hope I don't miss Hell :<

There are also lots of groups on your page that I don't know, so that's perfect for me too, as you said it's always great to discover new music...and saying "How was it possible to live without knowing this song?!" :)

It actually is. Theres very few days that go by without a listen of Prometheus, Welkins, or Nightside Eclipse. If my Ipod scrobbled I'd have a fuckload more of Devin, more Ihsahn, a lot of Emperor, Flower Kings, Agrypnie and Opeth. But alas, it doesn't. No biggie.

Yeah i'm great thanks! Hope you do make it to the London one, would be good to see you again! I'm really impressed with Clair Cassis, a lot better than Velvet Cacoon I think, some of the best black metal i've heard in a long time!

Oh jew and your jewelry. I don't even know what that means. And yeah, Opeth! They were pretty good actually! Me and Jocke totally met Dirge and Epilogue from the forum but they were wearing tr0llfaces ov "we're not really here and we're totally not from the forum and we're totally not going to stand right in front of both of you and pretend like we don't know you!". Would you mind doing me a favor? If the forum's up; please ask Dirge and/or Epilogue if they enjoyed the show and that they totally looked like I imagined!

Haha I know what you mean, I'd love to at least go to Wacken one year, but doubt it will ever happen! Yes Hammers of Misfortune are pretty Doomy, but they're also Proggy, Folky, sometimes a bit power-y and their first album is very Blacky and at he same time they can sound pretty traditional :-D They're a great mix and probably one of the most interesting and versatile bands I've ever listened to, if you fancy giving then a try I reckon you would like their album "The Bastard" and "The August Engine" is my personal favourite which I also recommend. ^^ Have a good New Year!

Aye, Royal Albert Hall DVD is great, 't was a big gig for Opeth, wish I had been there. After listening to it, I found a new love for the Lotus Eater. I never liked Watershed that much, but as live, the tracks really shine. Porcelain Heart was absolutely amazing when they played it in Helsinki aswell.

You must have got there quite early then, I did look out for you when I walked past the queue but I didn't see you! It's really annoying when that happens, I've just learned to tell people where to go when they try to push past me, it's not fair when you've been waiting there for hours before they turned up. I've also given up at standing near the front as unless I'm front row I won't be able to see a thing and I'm just not built to take mosh pits, it's not the same standing back though! Just noticed you're going to Roadburn next year, so jealous! One of my favourite bands (Hammers of Misfortune) are playing there, tempted to go but I think it will work out expensive :(
