I will definitely will be checking that album out, thanks for the recommendation ^^. And for must listen albums I would definitely tell you "um" by Martha Skye Murphy, it's an album I discovered through Caroline polachek and it is beautiful; another album would be "halo" by Juana Molina, I love how ethereal she is and mysterious at the same time; and I would recommend "blue" by Joni Mitchell, the way she makes folk it's so unique that I get lost to her music!! <3

i have gathered the Recs; if you’re looking for something similar to tommy’s “alligator” i think you’d like bickle! they just came out with a project but my personal fave is “naked” that shit bangs.. and if you want something more akin to the marías then “ice melt” by crumb (amama so good so true) oR alice phoebe lou’s “glow” is so pretty to follow that underwater theme (Honorable mention: “windswept adan”)

(also i’d love to know your thoughts on moses sumney, an artist i deem kind of experimental tbh his album aromanticism is pretty short although a lot more romance oriented! lmk if you check him out, if not that’s cool too) <3

(but i may be slightly biased since its my fav game…) if u like undertale or indie vgm in general it should be up ur alley. ummm, I don't really have proper recs but ive been listening to a lot of polyphia and brakence!

luv is rage 2 by uzi is a good way to start off with uzi's iconic sound with songs like xo tour life and dark queen. die lit has some great songs by carti like long time and shoota. from there you could start finding what you like and don't like about them. both carti and uzi have changed their sound over time but this what i would suggest to be their music at their peak. btw i found u from someone i follow and decided too check your library out :)

hellohello duckyboii, hope you’re well and thank you so much for the recs! they were both crazy interesting albums, dark queen was so sweet :,) banger after banger and long time was such a strong intro wow really dug how carti melded the features into the album, both albums had surprisingly sad undertones too?? a lot of masking hurt with wealth 🤔 unless i was reading into it wrong, lmk your thoughts! i was also curious as to what mood do you shoot for when you listen to them? and good to know! i’ll be snooping around your account for more music 😼 oh speaking of, if you just have anything in mind you’ve been into lately, spill spill <3

Personally, i love listening to ''coastal grooves'' by blood orange when spring is right around the corner, the album just feels bright and energetic if you get what i mean :D Moses Sumney is top class, although i don' t listen to him as much as i used to, ''me in 20 years'' had a massive impact on me haha. Right now i dabble in a little bit of house music, soul and 80' s jams - Prince, Esperanza Spalding, kaytranda, bjork, fleetwood mac and so on. For my all time faves i would 100% have to go w/ Frank Ocean and Jimi Hendrix. How about you? Any ''spring'' or just feel good album recs?

thank you so much for recommending coastal grooves! it was such a nice experience and hit a lot of points for me emotionally :,) the space for interpretation it gives the listener in terms of all it doesn’t say just makes the album hit that much harder, it’s also really nice when not paying attention to the lyrics! so dance-y and vibe-y :) MOSES!! gosh if you do decide to get back into him i really suggest his aromanticism album! it and grae go so well together imo and big agree! especially the mv for me in 20 years… heart absolutely crushed in the best way, what significance does the song have for you personally, if you don’t mind me asking? almost every single artist you mentioned i’ve had on my list for the longest omg esp. bjork :0 where would you rec to start with her discog? you’ve mentioned frank, therefore you’ve stolen my heart; what does his music make you feel? same with jimi! very curious :)

all time faves personally would have to be mac miller and maybe moses honestly now that i really think about it.. frank is for sure up there hm i had a bit of a crisis deciding LOL but album recs! for spring vibes i think you might be into hippo campus’ landmark! more of a chill vibe compared to coastal grooves, honeybloom by choker might also be up your alley! and in terms of feel good albums, i find myself going back to apricot princess by rex orange county a lot, it holds a lot of nostalgia for me haha and also just a nice album overall i would say 😼 lmk what you think if you end up checking any of them out! i’d love to hear your thoughts 🤍

So glad to hear that you liked coastal grooves! I gave a listen to Aromanticism and i have to say, the album is like a big warm hug, doomed especially, the melody, the lyrics, everything goes so well together that you've actually gotten me back on the Moses Sumney pipeline :) I discovered me in 20 years when the lockdown was happening and the song just spoke to me... i love to daydream about the future, good along with the bad, Moses basically took those thoughts, wrapped them up with a big red bow and gifted them back to me. Now, on to bjork, i would recommend starting with her debut album (literally called debut :D) , it's the least experimental and gives you a pleasant first impression. Talking about Frank, i've been listening to him since the 5th grade, so his music has had a huge influence on my current music taste, loads of memories associated with his songs. In terms of comparison, channel orange might be the same for me as apricot princess is for you :D

yesss so on board with you being back on the pipeline AAA i really recommend his blackalachia project, you can watch the whole thing on youtube it’s so lovely and beautiful and majestic and WOO just really good LOL and speaking of warm hugs! an album that makes me feel like that every single listen is circles by mac miller :0 i would love to hear your thoughts on it if it interests you, it’s a project accompanied by the album swimming but circles alone is amazing, swimming just adds to the experience “swimming in circles” aw that’s so sweet, i had a similar experience with his mv for polly, rewatched and sobbed at it so much… the absolute CRAVE for a monogamous love that is unrequited is portrayed so well and the lyricism in general is 👌 i listened to debut! it was so interesting, venus as a boy and there’s more to life than this really captured me, i felt so entranced while listening, her love is so beautiful and the anchor song felt like the perfect send-off to end the album with :)

I had listened to choker earlier, El Dorado from his album peak is a really neat song, but i had never ventured further on to his other projects. So, THANK YOU! for the recommendation to listen to honeybloom, reminded me of a flower slowly opening up with each song. Landmark was definitely an experience, the transition between sun vines and way it goes was brilliant. At the start it really reminded me of carnival youth' s '' no clouds allowed'' album. Bismillah by Peter Cat Recording has a similar vibe to Landmark, so check it out if you' d like! 🧚:D

deep connection with frank wow! that’s really endearing :,) which project of his jump started your interest in his music? i’d love to find more artists like him, mainly blonde, it’s really unique, closest i’d say would be choker in terms of style that i’ve found so far hmm channel orange!!! i rediscovered it recently thanks to a friend and gahh soso good, bad religion i didn’t expect to hit as hard as it did but it became a new favorite instantly, what are yours from the album? that was the perfect description!! i feel like that about honeybloom too, especially juno wow that song man.. i checked out the last two albums as well! no clouds allowed felt like an amalgamation of so many artists i love, it was so sweet&pretty i didn’t want it to end as i was nearing the end :( i can really see how it reminded you of landmark! and i just finished bismallah! rep folklore and evermore are my top 3 fav taylor albums so i definitely will get into this REAL QUICK.. im glad ur listening to reputation its quite insane and life changing. folklore and evermore are sister albums :D theyre very connected.. its kinda hard to put it into words i think youll get it once you listen to both of them one day, but folklore and evermore are very similar yet so different.. folklore is very summery and evermore is like a cold winter. evermore songs feel like a more mature and older version of folklore songs idk its hard to explain but theyre both amazing. theres also songs on both albums that have little connections to each other and stuff like that. ANYWAYS enjoy rep pls tell me ur fav tracks

LMAOOOOOO omg thank you <3 i'm a deranged swiftie who unfortunately loves everything that lady does so i'm obviously about to spread the midnights agenda... its by no means her best but there are some genuinely fun pop songs on it (karma my beloved) and one of her best love songs ever imo (sweet nothing <333 i could cry) .. midnight rain and labyrinth are some highlights too methinks and also the 3am tracks which are all so extremely good and a little bit more like evermore since aaron dessner produced them. the album overall probably isnt for everyone but i think people are generally too hard on it - and a pop album was always doomed as a follow up to such well-received indie albums. so anyways... if you ever do listen to it you MUSTTTTT tell me your thoughts !!!!

a thousand times thank you for recommending it btw! it was truly such a great experience 🤍 i listened to reputation and home video yesterday! reputation was soo interesting, ready for it? had me conflicted about what the rest of the album was gonna make me feel but! the first half was truly so good, like end game?! i still have don’t blame me stuck in my head rn haha the second half i had mixed feelings about but really liked dancing with our hands tied and new year’s day of it! new year’s day really felt like the end of a new year’s party/the album; everyone cleaning up ready to go but also still reeling about the experiences that conspired right before 👌 the biggest stint(?) i had with it i suppose was that i couldn’t imagine that extreme love she feels for them i think 🤔 like king of my heart, i couldn’t understand that type of love :( might just be more of a personal thing though.. but a pretty nice album! ariana suggested i listened to folklore next so that shall be!

and finally home video!! didn’t plan to have a shout for each album but it feels apt haha my oh my that album was also such a treasure, there’s a shout on lucy’s artist page that says “her voice is so deep ruby purple” and i totally agreed especially on this album! it didn’t hit as hard emotionally but maaan thumbs did a number on me.. and the occasional funny lyrics here and there make the tone such a nice mix of light hearted and gut wrenching :0 faves: christine and triple dog dare! but honorable mentions: every other track LOL the imagery in this album is so nice too, you can soso feel the teen romance and coming of age really well, i think especially in triple dog dare which was such a nice end, encompassing like every theme she tackled? queer romance, the issues that comes with that living in a christian household/community, the what ifs, THE GOOD MUSIC!! and the last line is so mm i would love to submerge myself in every piece of work she’s ever created :,) THANK YOU AGAIN! muah

OH MY GODDDDD !!! im so happy you loved historian !!!! and oh boy... ready for it is such a jarring start to an album LOLL but i love it!! taylor described reputation as a bait and switch album lmfao because it starts out so .... brash ? and loud ? and turns into a quiet little love story <3 which is beautiful but very detrimental to ME!!!! but i digress... folklore is like universally her most beloved album so i have high hopes that you'll find some songs you like on that one 😊 and omg home video!!!! its true... such a sweet album to listen to and then all of the sudden thumbs comes from out of nowhere and genuinely makes me sick to my stomach 😭 i don't think theres a single other song in the world that is as viscerally painful to me as thumbs is omfg. omgg if you wanna get more into their music i highly rec their album 'Heaven To A Tortured Mind' its a great place to start. It was the album that made me fall in love with their music and took over my life haha. If you like more ambient music, their older stuff like 'When Man Fails You' and 'Serpent Music' are just that. 'Safe In The Hands Of Love' is another really good place to start, there are so many great tracks on it. i feel as if it's a mix between their earlier more ambient stuff and their more recent stuff like HTATM. There's a lot of gems, so if you'd like i would honestly suggest taking time to listen to their whole discog at some point and see what you like >.<
