well I didn't get to see Maccabees cause due to bad organisation the lineup was ridiculous and they had a one-in-one-out policy. so I finished with Good Shoes instead, and they were ok..the crowd was pretty energetic (lots of frustrated maccabees fans?) - constant stage-diving, -invasions, crowd-surfing. also caught Official Secrets Act up first, the only song I knew was So Tomrrow but they put on a really good show, their music is a lot more diverse than I expected

aha 4 of your top 10 are playing leeds in the next week. BUT - good shoes clash with grammatics/maccabees. WHO THOUGHT OF THAT!? terrible idea.

i just got video nasties album and it's alright, conversation dies has been a highlight so far. Was it what you were hoping for? I remember when cajun dance party came out last year i had such high hopes and for me it was a pretty big let down.

the bombay bicycle club i'm not that big a fan of, kasabian is the big record for me this year, there's a few others i'm looking forward to hearing, but from what i've heard about their new record, it's going to be amazing. Klaxons will be interesting considering they were told to go back and re-record some of the album. The horrors and doves' new albums are my favourites probably so far. As for maximo, right from the word go, that album annoys me, seems very half arsed. are your video nasties due to bring something out this year?

oh I'm so jealous of death cab. was it as amazing live as it is recorded? Leeds is very cool. I went to York for the day on Friday and it's a lot more 'ye olde English shoppe' style, walled city and cobbled streets etc - Leeds is more urban, large student population, nice place but less touristy. also, I'm not going to the Enemy anymore..it sold out, and I'm goingto Paris instead! much nicer :)

I went to BDO in sydney. TVOTR and The Grates and Arctic Monkeys(of course haha) were my faves. I missed Little Red so i was a little sad about that. Nothing since that though because of school. I wish i had gone to Laneway! i wanted to so bad because of born ruffians and AIH. could you send me those links to SwantonBombs? they sound good. :) thanks. Its because I love it all! I cant help it, anything they do, I love! I really like Rolling and Jellybean! Im suprised how much new stuff there is on there, I thought it would be mainly stuff from before, like Gobi, I expected that on there! They really have changed what they sound like quite a bit havent they! x

Was pretty amazing. Ben Gibbard is one of the best singers I have seen ever. Sitting right at the back of Thebarton Theatre in the upper seats was a cool experience too!

halloo! lastfm is being a loooser pretty sure we dont have low compatibility. anyways the point is yes southbound was great! late of the pier were epic i was front row :D and yeah there were bulk juvies and gross naked bogans in my way who had NO idea who they were. ughh. but i found that was the case for mystery jets and lykke li too! why go to a festival when you dont even know the bands. sorry for venting. st jeromes should be good too although they've moved it from a laneway to a field here. err prettty sure thats false advertising but whatevs!

excellent! COYH's album, dvd and demo pack just arrived in the mail...finally, after a week of agonising waiting! I've only listened to it once but it seems pretty good - Happy As Can Be is clearly catchy as anything, ever. they seem to have lost the kind of punky backing sound though, it's all pop..which is ok I guess, still enjoyable.

I havent got a clue what is going on with them right now! I just hope they get a move on! Yeah, I ordered Hearts & Bones as well actually, completely forgot about that, ah well, HOPEFULLY when they finally get their arses shipping it out it will be a nice suprise lol! Talking of Hearts & Bones, that was my 20,000th track! Pfffft, I might even email their manager asking them when the fuck the album will be done...

I am so glad to see that your 20,000th track is one of the best in this universe, by the best band in universe!!
