Heh, it's funny: I actually like exactly the same tracks as you! :-) And yeah, I'll also still have to listen to it more before I can truly say what the entire album is all about. I've actually seen Guillemots live twice this year and especially the second concert was one of the best I've ever seen by anyone. They've got unbelievable charisma. It's a shame that it once again seems the record buying public in general are not that persuaded: the album peaked at something like #17 on the UK albums chart.

Hello! Yes, Guillemots are generally great but a small word of warning here: "Red" is nowhere as good as "Through The Windowpane", the style is quite different. There are some excellent individual tracks there, though, but in general it's not as enjoyable. Fyfe's solo album "Fly Yellow Moon" is more like the first Guillemots' album in my opinion, and pretty good. Also, what do you think of the new Blur song, "Fool's Day"? I just adore it, it's the best thing in ages!

Oh, thank you so much! I appreciate the feedback a lot: it's very seldom someone actually *listens* to the songs, but you definitely did. Thanks, this made me very happy! And yeah, I really like Bernard's style of singing. His voice is quite soft but pleasant and expressive. I'm flattered by the comparison!

Thanks for visiting! Nice library! I've only recently rediscovered Bernard Butler's 'People Move On'. Not listened to it for about 10 years. It's a great album. Christ, I'm old, haha. Where in China are you?

in fact, my music taste has strong bb's influence :D and the veils is my favourite band he has ever produced. the runaway found is perfection. i like every single song on that album. however i'm still quite indifferent to nux vomica and sun gangs. maybe i haven't listened to it enough, though. by the way, the same about 'the tide that left...'. the lyrics are great, sad and optimistic at the same time. but teenage fanclub always make me happy, they've got such a special and warm sound. so i love absolutely all their songs:)

Hiya, re. David Mcalmont's distant dreamer, ( the duffy track) its not him you know, just some clever dude who has remixed and mashed about to make it sound like him, clever eh?
