animal collective was ok, but i think were should have gotten closer to the stage for maximum enjoyment. too far away. lots of reverb and stuff. hard to tell what was going on. i'd go again knowing what i know now. i'm seeing black moth super rainbow on june 30th!! super excited for that! how have you been doing?

haha, i am indeed quite alive. i'm doing pretty well; seeing animal collective tomorrow, maybe going to the detroit electronic music festival this weekend, seeing black moth super rainbow late june. the last two quotes are from Mort Garson's The Wozard of Iz: an Electronic Odyssey. it's a weird psychedelic electronic album from 1968. worth checking out. I've Been Over the Rainbow is pretty/creepy.

I go to Wayne State University in Detroit and I'm majoring in English and minoring in film studies, just to make sure I'll be completely useless once I graduate. I wanted to go to CCS for photography but it was a lot of money and I don't think I was that passionate about it. I'd rather be at U-M.

Cut Copy's album was so good! They were great live too. I'd say my favorites of 08 were the Raveonettes, the Helio Sequence, Deerhunter, Crystal Castles, and Cut Copy. The Dead Can Dance reissues were also awesome. And that Byrne/Eno album was cool too. I haven't listened to 4:13 a lot until recently, when I broke it out again. Not too shabby. I'm seeing Animal Collective in May and Junior Boys in April! Life is pretty great. Probably gonna miss the big festivals though. What college are you going into? What's your major?

Haha, I was half kidding :)I kinda enjoy introducing Cure music in my blog...sometimes random visitors might leave some comments, saying that they start to listen to the Cure because of my blog. That certainly feels good! And I hope you like the Echo album!

Yep, that link in my profile is my Chinese blog, where I talk about The Cure all the time and get very little response. But I don't mind, haha. I started to listen to rock bands a few years ago, as I hated the pop music here. I also met some people who introduced me some great music; last.fm was quite useful, too. Eventually my musical adventure on the Internet led me to The Cure :)

BTW, I'll upload some Echo songs for you and PM you when they're ready.

Well, I can definitely help you practice Chinese if you want, haha. I'm quite excited to know other Chinese Cure fans, because there aren't too many of them here in Taiwan. :( I have a blog in Chinese, but I don't suppose you could read it, then?

Oh, and I've been wanting to ask about this: are you from Mainland China? Can you see/write in Chinese with your computer?

And I can't believe the tour is over, either. How great that you saw their two shows in NY! I read your posts at COF about the shows. You must had a wonderful time. The youtube video of Forever got me in tears...I'm starting to miss them already!

I'm glad you like Echo. I can send you their songs in MP3 if you want...but I think their CDs are only available in Taiwan & Hong Kong (not sure about China).
