Another one, who appreciates Scald (that Russian band, do you remember?) It's always a pleasure to meet one :)

As it should ;)

Super? Allriiiiiiiiight

Add me you Baroque bastard!!

Beethoven's symphonies, silly :P

Now the rest!

I'm a huge fan of the chorale preludes. Not sure if I've heard the ones to which you're referring though. I know what you mean; when I first got into art music fugues bored the shit out of me. Now they're one of my favorite forms! haha

Playing 'em doesn't count :P. Gotta jam to the Brandenburg Concertos, Organ Works, Goldberg Variations, Cello Suites, Orchestral Suites, etc.! I own the six cello suites and the Brandenburg Concertos on wax :D

Time to listen to Bach's instrumental work now

666

'Tis what I've heard :P

I embark on St Matthew Passion tomorrow! I'll take it in three day's time though...

BACH!

Somewhat? :P

Haha sounds impeccably interesting. I'm gettin' on that shit later tonight

So how are those Asocial fellows?

ha okay they obviously aren't straight up death metal, but they have elements of true death metal in them at certain time is all im sayin, and that picture is awesome haha

Ah roger that. Just makin' sure ;)

Ah makes sense. I only own some organ works of his and the Cello Suites, so that's what I sift through now and then

Only Bach's choral work eh?

SUPER! I feel gay now

Roger that, good sir

By the hearts, it's obvious you would recommend Profanatica's recent full-length?

Thanks bro. No problem :P

Mind trying again? :P Oh, and get that Hollywood Undead off there haha

You mind hooking me up with a link to Handel's "Messiah?" Thanks :D

Passable, at least. That is a killer combination indeed, save Bruckner solely because I have not yet bothered with his work :P

And not even decent In Flames. and lol good one: not!

lol delete it then. That's more embarrassing than A7x! :P

Hollywood Undead, huh? :P

THERE. NOW GIVE ME SOME CLASSICAL TO LISTEN TO. pl0x

SEVERED-METAL

Thanks for the kind words, again; I would add early Autechre and selective Aphex Twin to your list, as well as Biosphere and Jaaportit "Uumenissa," maybe some Fripp/Eno and Brian Eno's "Music for Airports." For post-black metal, Neptune Towers is good too.

This may not be the most popular advice, but you are open-minded in the old school meaning of the word: I'd check out the Te Deum pieces of Mozart and Bruckner :) Somewhere I also have some medieval music that I've been meaning to upload. The todo list, it never ends.

Well, who doesn't love Scandinavian metal? I've got an odd idiosyncratic top ten, but I think the ANUS lists are the best for people getting introduced to the genre. I can't explain some of my preferences in logical terms (to hell I must go). cheers

I like them both, although find that sometimes they fall short of the full potential of the genre, so I agree with your assessment of B+. I'm fond of the atmosphere of Cemetary -- it's what Opeth made a career out of, when dumbed down and made more artsy.

Amazing old school melodeath charts :D
