I feel you there. I listened to A LOT of different stuff before working, so my tastes have shifted a bit since then - I don't quite listen to as much Kamelot anymore. Or Dream Theater anything, for the most part. Still, I can't see myself resetting things.

Bahaha! It was the latter - for about a year and a half straight - that came out the ~3000. The rest was my iPod summing up my plays and adding them up to the total >.<

"Get up, go out and fly, especially that guy (he smells like poo)." I do own the DVD, but have yet to watch the commentary! I'll have to do that. Usually when I try, on any DVD, it makes me just want to watch the movie so i never make it all the way through the commentary versions. XD

A juggalo? Wow. Haha, that's pretty funny. Yeah, that's a big part of why I want to see Agalloch. I love them and I know they don't perform often. I'll have to check out Alda, I've never heard of them before. Nah, I don't live in SF, but I go there once in a long while. I live in Sacramento. The drive to SF is about the same, actually, as what you described.

That Watain, Blasphemopagher and Agalloch show are all happening here in California, too, in San Francisco and LA. I'm hoping to catch all of them, but I doubt that will happen. Long drive for me. I definitely have to see Agalloch, though. I'd love to see the Blasphemophagher show w/ Black Witchery and Diocletian. That Neurosis one w/ Ludicra also sounds badass.

Thanks again for the compliment and the info. I had not heard of that. I'll have to check it out. Holy shit, I just looked. That's one hell of a lineup. Mostly war black metal bands, too. I'd be into that, but that sucks it's only in Texas. Not sure I'd be able to make it there, lol.

Haha, thanks for the comment there. Awesome lists by the way. I love most of the music I see on your page. From black metal to the 80's post punk stuff to the experimental. Yeah, that's pretty fucked up that people talk like that. Landmine Marathon's singer is definitely gorgeous, but to just talk about her physical looks before anything else is degrading and just not fair to her. She's a person and an artist and musician before anything else in my eyes. And a talented one at that. No matter what she looks like that would not have changed how awesome and intense she was during that show when I saw them. One hell of a singer, in her range and intensity of vocals and performance.

I gotta say it is hard to imagine you being shy and sober, but metal shows will have that affect on people I guess :) That is pretty awesome, but certainly true what you were saying. You guys seem to know a crazy number of band members from the various local acts around here. I guess I need to start going to more of the small shows with the local bands. Was the NW Fuckfest good?

Oh yeah my patience runs out pretty quick when there are that many bands unless like at least 3 or 4 of them are good. Drinking seems like a good strategy. I'd totally go this weekend except I'll be traveling, unfortunately. Tutu at the morgue, you will definitely stand out :)

haha yes indeed its choadville alright. I gotta give the metal scene the benifit of the doubt and assume i was just being a drunk ass. But the rest of the population.... so many popped collars, and the streets run red in ax body spray. :(

Hey there! I'm doing much better, thanks. =) Pain is gone but still walking a little funny as the numbness hasn't totally left my right foot yet, lol.

Also looking at your user-picture -- I am sure I said this in person, but holy shit your back piece is INCREDIBLE! (Not that far from off from what I want for myself actually)

Aw, that's sweet! I'm weird though -- I don't care for the layout of iTunes (which is most of the reason I don't have an iPod). I have a Zune -- there's third party software to scrobble it, but I know someone who used it that said it sucked so I haven't bothered. When I get back to my own computer, I think I'm going to give it another shot. I am definitely going to keep adding artists though (got worn out after 70 or so yesterday). I don't think there's anything too embarrassing I'm keeping hidden though! haha

No mouth harp in black metal! Noooo...I'm sorry, but when Taake uses it it sounds really stupid. Well, now I'm reading on wikipedia that the mouth harp is a traditional Norwegian instrument. So, I'll make this one allowance. ;)

Haha, that's a hilarious picture. I noticed the whalecore tag the other day (lol), is this a genre that mastodon has inadvertantly created? Just wondering, how did Opeth manage to fit into this category?

Hehe, I'm doing pretty well, I'd say. My brain has been in great shape since I gave up on grad school. And the third child on the way (due around the Yule) pretty much puts the kaibash on the idea of ever revisiting grad school, but I'm okay with that. I got tired of missing my kids and not sleeping, so my decision was a good one. And the babies are happy to have their daddy around more often, so all is well. The one negative is that I can't convince Trish that Lando Calrissian is a great name for a little boy, should that be what we have, but I suppose I have time to work on that :-)

Busy AND exhausted is not usually a good combination, but I am glad to hear that you're recuperating. ...And I generally consider anything that involves Rob Halford or Ronnie James Dio to be a cure-all, so Judas Priest is definitely on the recommended listening list for a young women with your condition ;-)
