It feels like a little piece of Eastern Russia along with a little piece of Scandinavia together. Like I like the cold weather and sauna thing, and Viking Romanticism, and the whole tribal history of Finland which I could just read and read about. There's something I think is unique, underloved, underappreciated, and special about Finland. Which has made it special to me.

Oh, that's hard to explain exactly. I like how it's a Northern/Scandinavia/Nordic culture that's actually Uralic. I got into reading up on linguistics a while back and I got fascinated by the whole language controversy thing. It made Finland seem mysterious and interesting. And like how getting into one thing Japanese often leads into a habit of getting into a lot of Japanese things in general, I started getting interested in Finland in general as a "habit". Finland seems like it's a place that has a mixture of a lot of the things I like and am fascinated by, pretty language, mysterious language, old folklore and heritage that feels kinda Siberian, but also European culturally. Very Scandinavian, but also rather unique. I like that whole mixture of being all sorts of things I like.

Yeah, Keyhole is pretty horrid. Which is why I need a source, torrent tracker or something, that just focuses on Japanese tv shows, and not just the ones that popular musicians and actors appear in. And that sounds familiar, are you talking about the one that happened right after Kago got suspended due to smoking?

I'm not all that good with actual actual Japanese programs. And don't know of any trackers offhand that literally, literally upload just Japanese TV. Or I'd go to them a lot more and also for other television of other countries I would like to see, like again Finnish. I'm talking about the large variety of programs based on certain content that often get uploaded, such as on Jpopsuki. Which they're randomly uphload whole episodes of a television show so long as it has a popular Japanese musician on there. Of course this has gotten kind of alienating in recent year as I just want to watch Japanese tv shows that air everyday and not worry so much about specific people all the darn time. I like the randomness and surprise of not knowing what's going to show. For that, about all I use so far is a little program called KeyholeTV. If you find some good Finnish and Japanese TV torrents out there either, please let me know.

I apologize, and I hope you won't be offended by it. But I have a policy now of deleting any posts in my profile that pertain to race with no immediate exceptions that I am immediately aware of. So if you notice that comment you made gone from my profile, please don't take it as anything personal. You didn't do anything wrong. I just don't like it there.

Oh, I'm not offended. And I sadly didn't use too many books as much as I had classes and would look up kanji on the internet in my spare time. Mostly internet. I also did the immersion thing on time and would look for songs and convert things to Japanese, and made sure I knew all the kanji on them. And would learn how to write them of course, too. I kind of miss studying Japanese heavily and the immersion thing, like it was fun to convert my computer programs to Japanese and having the challenge of trying to use a computer in as much Japanese as possible. I was learning quickly then. Right now, hardly at all. I also want to try that with Finnish sometime, but I worry I might have a harder time getting my hands on so much of stuff in Finnish. I should look for a Finnish television torrent trackers sometime.

Oh, I used to study. Haven't really done so in a while. Been meaning to pick it back up and get a good start on Finnish, which is another language I find pretty. I know katakana and hiragana perfectly and have so for years. And I know about a measly 200 or more kanji I guesstimate. Which I pick up a few more every once in a while. I also have a basic understanding of Japanese grammar. At this point I think I've forgotten the proper usages of "wo" and "e" though. I can't believe Firefox doesn't think guesstimate is a typo.
