Yeah me too! I prefer british music! I also listen to american music, but more that garage rock and those who have that british touch, where you would think that they actually are a british band :P And of course swedish music! For me it's if I know a band is swedish I just have to listen to them, cause I think they're so adorable :D That's why I also got into RR, at first I thought they would do that indie pop thing, then I started to listen to them and realized they were more like the Hives and then I went to their show and saw that they fucking rule and that one cannot compare them to another band :D

Yeah, I also started with completely different music, more this american punk pop music like Greenday, then into this britpop thing! Now I listen to so many things, also "harder stuff" but mostly indie-rock/alternative!! But I also reaaally like all this singer/songwriter stuff and folkpop/rock!
