how come you chose berkeley over columbia? ahhhh mcb is my "backup" major, sorta. psychology being my first. but either way, i figured it's going to be competitive so i better work my bootsy off. i'm really anxious for filippenko's astronomy class next fall (if i can get in) because everyone and their mothers raaaave about it. and WICKED! i can't believe i haven't seen it either. my brother saw it in chicago and would not stop talking about it. then recently seeing them sing defying gravity on glee (don't laugh) made me want to see it even more. and yes yes we shall extend this friendship beyond last.fm... facebook perhaps? look up melanie chu - my profile picture consists of my friend and i with dave longstreth, can't miss it. :)

haha nice reference! i've always wanted to watch avenue q... and they showed it in sacramento last year but i never got around to seeing it. what are you majoring in? how long have you been at cal? it's sorta intimidating going in there with the working habits (aka procrastination) that i have now but i'm sure the school will set me straight. and hmm don't rice cookers usually take 30 minutes or so? and yeah i disagree with last.fm's similar artists a lot... i remember being referred to kings of leon when i was listening to the strokes and just thought, what the hell is this? yeah it really sucks but i think the adult business might be in trouble too. :( how many more semesters more do you have left? and yeah i'm still hanging around my hometown until spring semester when i finally get to move in. it has been the longest, most dreadful four months in my life, experiencing the lamehole that is called community college. i cannot wait until i drown myself in shitloads of work. no joke, i'm actually excited.

sorry to hear that :( yeahh i'm not going to julian casablancas' show... as much as i love him, his solo stuff doesn't really register to me. i prefer him with the strokes, the old strokes. :/ i hope the new strokes album won't disappoint but i have a feeling i might not like it.

aw we wanted to go that phoenix show too! but things didn't work out too well since everyone left town for college. did you get a chance to go to treasure island? and i am so so so excited for the new album. i've always been a big fan of "white sky" and "little giants" so i was happy they are finally doing a studio version of the songs. i really liked "horchata" so i can't wait when it comes out!
