Check out I Am War - Outlive You All if you haven't already, Alex Varkatzas (Atreyu) side-project from 2012 that I enjoy a lot. I prefer it over the Dead Icarus album.

Things are pretty good. Thanks for asking. We're still recovering from that killer freeze in Feb. We had some broken pipes, the generator catch on fire, and of course redoing landscaping. That was something! I've never experienced anything like that. Other than that life's returning to normal little by little. Everyone still wears masks but I noticed it's not as enforced as before. I finally got to go to a movie after a year! Still no concerts :( How about you? Did yall experience any fall out from that freeze in Feb?

Hey, how are you doing with all this quarantine business? We just received orders to shelter in place. We’re only supposed to go to grocery store, doctor, or take out food if necessary. I already stay home but my husband has to work from home now. I’ll be glad when all this is over. I already have cabin fever and it’s only day 8 or 9.

Hey! Oh, I'm hanging in there. We don't have an official shelter in place currently but I feel like it's coming, as there are some people that aren't taking it seriously. I'm not really at risk but I'm definitely not trying to limit my exposure to others. I've got cabin fever soooo bad. I'm working from home as well, and it is extremely challenging, I much prefer working from the office. How long is your shelter in place in effect?

Angelofmyheart7
Well, the news website said the schools were closed until April 19th. That's what they say but who knows for sure. I hope you all don't get to shelter in place. I'm sure it is challenging working from home. It's easy to get off task or get tired. If one has kids that's even more challenging! Well take care and happy listening :)

Yes! I've been waiting eagerly since they announced it. It's pretty good so far. I guess the whole album is on youtube? Only a few songs are on Spotify. What did you think of it? Also, Happy New Year!

I thought it was above average. It sounds a little too "dreaming-ish". Maybe that's just hangover from that band, I don't know. But I look forward to some additional EPs. Supposedly they are working on releasing more new stuff which I think is fantastic! Happy New Year to you!

Well that almost completes my band bucket list. The only one left is Zeromancer! Fat chance on me getting to go to Norway. I doubt they would come to the U.S. But you never know..... Have you seen all your bucket list bands?

Zeromancer is on my list too! They've been playing one-off shows but they've been dormant for the most part. I have a lot of obscure ones on my bucket list, like bands that don't even tour nor play together anymore. I am quite content that I have crossed such a good amount of bands off in the last few years though, Stabbing Westward being the latest. I'm sure you'll find more to add to your list too :D

Yes, they were really good. They didn't disappoint. I felt they were one of the better bands. It was a festival with: Meg Myers, Atlas Genius, OLP, Bush, and Godsmack.

Pretty good. I've found some new albums on some liked bands. (Our Lady Of Peace being one) Two bands I've noticed I'd like to see is Shinedown & Company. I just need to get the tickets! How about you?

Glad you had a good time. He seems like he's put on a good show. 311 sounds like a good one to see. I haven't listened to a lot of their music, but what I do hear of them, I like. I can't say my concert life is exciting. I haven't seen anything I've been interested in except Noel Gallagher High Flying Circus and Pop Evil. My travels have been more exciting. I got to go to London & Amsterdam last year and I'm in Miami right now avoiding the Houston ice. Yay!

Hey, Happy New Year! Hope you had a great holiday. How did you like the Gary Numan concert? Does he do a lot of theatrics like he does in his videos?

I saw NIN with Soundgarden a few years back and it was one of my favorites. That’s saying a lot as I’ve been to at least 70 concerts over the years. I don’t think I’d ever get tired of seeing NIN....well maybe if I ever made it to 70. Haha...can you imagine. I like his new songs especially Less Than. I wish he had more new ones.

Did you already see Gary Numan? I just saw that NIN is coming here Dec 15. Is he coming up there too? I've seen him before but I would go again. He's definitely one of my favorites!

Well I liked Gary Numan's album a lot. The songs didn't all sound the same and had interesting sound arrangement. I can see why he calls it Savages...it's savagely depressing. They all spoke about brokenness and lost souls. The only song that is not that bleak is "And It All Began With You." I liked that one, Ghost Nation & Bed of Thorns the best. Which ones do you like best?

Yes, I do like Gary Numan. I will give it a listen. How's your music world? Any concerts coming up? There aren't any good ones up coming here. That bewilders me, because this is a big city.

Hundredth is a really good band. They remind me a lot of Man Without Country. The vocal style is similar but Hundredth has more of a rock style and Man Without Country has a more electronica sound. I think I like Hundredth better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g2lLMmCtfE

Hey! I actually missed APC but I wasn't too bummed about it since I've seen them a few times before. Darkest Hour was great although the venue they were in had some rough acoustics. I'm thinking about catching Fuel in a few weeks and Julien-K next month. You got any concert plans coming up?

I may go see Incubus if any tickets left. I wish those two you're seeing were coming here. I'd see those two definitely ! U2 was good last night. The theme revolved around the Joshua Tree but he played other stuff as well as a new song. I liked it but I'm biased bc I'm a big u2 fan, so they could sing Barney songs & I'd probably like it. Lol

Hey! I'm doing pretty good. How is everything over there? I've got some shows coming up that I am trying to go to. Darkest Hour in March and then A Perfect Circle in April. After that, I'm not so sure. More shows should start popping up though, so hopefully I can catch a bunch this year.

I'm glad you had fun. I wished I could have gone, but we were out of town. I agree, I like the album Blood Flowers too. I have heard of the Twilight Sad. It was on a Spotify weekly suggestion list and I saved them to my 1st cut song list. I need to listen again. The three I saved were: " I could give you what don't want", "Last January," and It Never Was The Same".

Hey you! How are you? I just wanted to comment on the band Skeleton Hands. I really like the Dotted Lines song that was on your recent plays list. They have that haunting minimalist new wave sound. They remind me of this band called Agent Side Grinder song "life in advance"

Here's one that I like a lot. It has that "airy, floaty, pink floyd mellow sound" It doesn't have the change up arrangement that Oceansize has. I think if I was a pot smoker I'd probably trip out with the song you just suggested or this one. lol! However, I don't but I can trip out naturally with no drugs when it comes to music. 0_o haha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fe4LTOHhvdQ

I like them. I had "One Day This Could Be Yours" on my 1st cut list. (my songs make a cut list to get to the best songs ) I like the one you picked. It has some mellow parts, hard rock, then almost classical at the end. Very cool. They remind me a little of Dead Letter Circus. Thanks for sharing. Where did you listen to all the ones you found with Confrontational? On youtube or another music site?

Hope you had a good holiday! Thanks for leaving that recommendation on my wall. I haven't listened to just Heresy that much but I certainly dig the Cure vibes, and they are touring Europe soon so I got really excited to maybe go and see them if they come to this country. I don't have much to recommend as I have been kinda lacking new musical affairs but I've been enjoying Alabama Shakes a lil lately. Hope you have a happy new year!
