Hey Hanna, there's a lot of music comin' down the pipes this year and I've got a lot to send your way. I'm scrapping the recap of 2012, there wasn't a lot of material that I was excited about last year. But 2013 is on fire. What's the best method that allows you to listen to song recommendations? Soulseek, YouTube links, Facebook, Grooveshark playlists, Dropbox, Soundcloud, Mediafire? Name your delivery method and I'll send you some freshness.

Hey Hanna! How are you? I've been thinking about your question these past couple of days and I honestly can't think of one album that really impressed last year. I was pleased with songs from many--and I found lots of new artists that are awesome--but man a completely solid album felt hard to come by. I'm leaving work at the moment, but I'll message you in a few. Let's compose some recommendations from 2012 listens. My ears are eager to here what you found as well.

Ah nice nice. Never seen Death Cab live but never been huge on them anyway tbh. One of those bands where I def wouldn't turn down a free ticket but wouldn't really be phased about shelling cash out on. Nah man stopped with the podcasts for now. Seemed kinda pointless when only one or two people were listening haha. I'll check out First Aid Kit. You enjoying the new Drake? It's much tighter than the last Weeknd mixtape. Make Me Proud is the standout track for me.

Haha...yeah. When I added this new account to the Last.fm client on my desktop, it gave me a prompt for adding my iTunes history. Shouldn't have clicked 'yes' :P Most of those plays come from this past year.// New recommend for ya--bumped into a woman online who's friends with Ben Haggerty ([artist]Macklemore[/artist]) and she sent me a vid of his to watch. It's refreshingly good: " Wings "

K, I'll be honest: I haven't listened to this mixtape, yet. But after hearing one of the tracks, I'm confident enough in the belief you will find at least one song you like. Personal favorite that drew me in was a mix of Gift of Gab (from Blackalicious) blended with a Sufjan Stevens track. Here's the link for a download of the mixtape: http://www.tormusic.net/downloads/illinoize . Give it a spin... and enjoy : )

Awesome awesome music here. So many familiar names; i'll have to delve through your library a bit deeper (you seem to already have anything that pops into my mind haha. Except hiphop.. ewww hiphop :p). Some recs, Gotye - "Heart's a mess", "Somebody that i used to know". Emmy the Great - "Paper Forest (in the afterglow of rapture)", "Dinosaur sex". Have a nice life - "The big gloom", "Holy fucking shit: 40000", "Bloodhail", The Jesus and Mary Chain - "Just like honey". Carissa's Wierd - "Farewell to all these rotten teeth", "September come take this heart away", "The piano song". Enjoy and greets from aus :)

Yo! Just spent last night with friends at a club that had two DJs spinning nothing but Dilla tracks all night. It was epic! Kinda put me to shame after I realized how much I've slept on his work. A Tribe Called Quest, Slum Village, Busta Rhymes, Pharcyde, Talib Kweli, Common...It was so cool to have everyone at our tables suddenly pause conversation whenever a familiar beat popped on, and we'd all start bobbing our heads, and then join in with the song and spit the lyrics together as a group. // Anyhoo, knowing that you're a Jay Dee fan yourself, what are some of your favorite tracks and collaborations by him?

Can see you've been giving The Weeknd some serious playtime too! Such a good mixtape.

Indeed I am. Fairly over the hype of them already though. It's the new token hip-hop for white kids that don't know how to find music themselves. Nonetheless, it should be fun. They're talented kids.
