Tof! Is een mooi modelletje wat je hebt. Gitaar spelen doe ik vrij weinig, af en toe als ik tijd heb pak ik m'n akoestische gitaar nog wel eens op, of als ik op een bruiloft moet spelen of zo. Ik heb intussen basgitaar opgepakt en daar speel ik wat meer op als ik de tijd heb. Heb intussen ook een kleine thuis, dus de tijd is beperkt naast m'n werk en andere bezigheden haha! Ik werk nog steeds als vormgever/ontwerper ja, met veel plezier nog steeds. Tof dat je dat nu ook doet, waar werk je?

Jammer dat je er zo weinig tijd voor hebt, maar dat klinkt bekend. Toch mooi dat je al die jaren terug lekker door hebt gezet en nu nog weleens op bruiloften mag spelen! Ik werk als Marketing & Communicatie Specialist bij Vianen Flowers momenteel. Heb HBO Commerciële Economie gevolgd en uiteindelijk afgerond, met de insteek dat ik dan veel kanten op kon. Ik heb 3 jaar terug ook nog een tekentabletje gekocht om cartoons etc. te tekenen en ben aan het leren in 3d software zoals Blender/Cinema 4D etc. Uiteindelijk wil ik mijn tekentablet en 3D kunsten in combinatie met elkaar gebruiken en misschien daar een eigen bedrijfje in starten ofzo. Wellicht ook mijn drone hiermee gaan gebruiken, want die heb ik vorig jaar ook gekocht. Aan creativiteit zeker geen gebrek dus!

Klinkt tof! In ieder geval lekker creatief bezig dus. Tekenen doe ik nog sporadisch haha. Op werk gaat sowieso al snel alles digitaal, meer op communicatie en concept gericht, wat overigens ook heel tof is! Ik heb wel een tekentablet, maar dat is een hele oude al, dus die pak ik dan toch niet zo heel snel. Maar ik verveel me ook niet, dus vind het verder ook prima haha.

Hey Mattias, it has been much too long between shouts. How are You faring in these crazy times that have enveloped the planet? While searching for Christian&spiritual rap groups, i discovered E.T.W. (End Time Warriors). This pretty much unknown group disbanded over two decades ago, but man are they so very relevant for Today. i have listened to tracks off two albums of theirs, Psychotheosocioghettopathic:Th and Let's Stay Together. Every track i have listened to commands my attention, especially their rendition of the praise&worship classic, Yes Lord ~under a minute long, but an automatic hookup with God's Holy Spirit for me every play..

I have a question. If you are a Christian then isn't it strange that you listen to Opeth and Katatonia? I've heard that this bands are very anti-religious and that some of their lyrics are inspired by an occult. :/

Hmm, good point. I don't know if they're really anti-religious or occult (maybe Katatonia's first albums are) but I get your point. I don't care for the lyrics of these bands too much, unless they're blatantly anti-christian. There is a line. I mostly listen to these bands because I like Progressive music a lot. I love the experimental stuff and weird time signatures, etc. They're not standard. It all depends on what it does for you personally though and with what mindset you listen to this kind of music I guess. I don't go to Opeth or Katatonia looking for answers or spiritual meaning. That's why I love Christian music too, it has deeper meaning. I'm a big fan of Switchfoot, MuteMath, Woven Hand, Demon Hunter, Extol, I could go on forever. :-)

Well... some Christians believe that "Christian metal or rock bands" are evil, because they believe that "Rock is rooted in anti-christianity". Hmm, I would disagree. Sure, there are probably a lot of bands that are in the vague area or are just doing it for the money. But lots of christian bands, especially Demon Hunter back in the days brought me closer to my faith. They pulled me through some rough times. In the end it all means (at least for me) if the music brings you closer to God or helps you through life and its issues, that's a really good thing. But I get that that christian rock and metal is not everybody's cup of tea. :')

Ugh ja echt he :( Ik vind SW z'n solowerk ook minder leuk dan Porcupine Tree... Nog steeds goed uiteraard maar ik mis PT gewoon! Maar tof, welk album heb je geluisterd? Ik heb ze laatst gezien in de Effenaar, ze zijn best wel vet live. Maar niets vergeleken bij PT natuurlijk har har har. En tsja, Frost*... Ik ben een beetje biased denk ik of een Godfrey fanboy, maar ik vind hem wel goed, hoewel Milliontown ook mijn onbetwiste favoriet blijft. Hyperventilate is geweldig, maar ook op het nieuwe album zijn zijn keyboardsolo's supervet. Maar het verschil is nu dat John Mitchell (Arena enzo) mee heeft geschreven, en die is toch wat minder goed ofzo :( Spotify heb ik trouwens niet, maar Steven staat er nu wel op! Hij is wel heel modern aan het doen de laatste tijd, met z'n Snapchat en nu Spotify :P

Heel veel functies zijn uit de site gehaald met de nieuwe layout :'(. Vind hem wel mooier enzo, maar dat is erg jammer. Heb een hoop dingen zoals zien hoeveel je vrienden hebben gescrobbeld van de artiest op de pagina van de betreffende artiest via firefox addons er weer in moeten zetten. Meh :(.

Combinatie van mijn telefoon die veel consistenter scrobbelt met wifi dan mijn iPod die ik ongeveer een jaar terug ben kwijtgeraakt en gewoon in het algemeen interesse in heel veel (verschillende soorten) muziek luisteren deze dagen. Ik scrobbel hier vrijwel alleen nog tracks, maar meer niet. Het is al jaren een beetje dood hier. Ik probeer Vink en een paar andere gasten al maanden terug te halen, maar ze hebben geen zin. Mede omdat ze ook een hoop vinyl luisteren en dus plaatjes invoeren in Discogs interessanter vinden geloof ik.

Yeah I started over a while back. I felt that my music taste didn't really reflect my charts as much any more. Don't really listen to that much deathcore and metalcore any more, other than a few bands for nostalgia's sake. I've been doing alright -- working full time as an English teacher now, so don't have much time to post all over last.fm like I used to. Probably while you haven't seen me around. How are you doing?
