You mean "The Sign" PV? I have watched it and I think that is decent. Maybe it doesn't have as many special effects like Immortal Bind or Heat of the Night, but it's fine all the way. Besides, I quite often check their page mostly about their events. Especially if they'd make a tour in Europe, that would be awesome!

Yeah there are nice keyboardists there. Love Jill from Terra Rosa and Jill's Project and I quite like Blindman's keyboardist too. Nerima Macchoman's early times keyboardist is great too... forgot his name but I should order his solo album from his page, it was brilliant.

Really? o_O I don't remember mention of keyboardist on those albums. Have to check when I get home. Immortal is gay album anyway so it should have keyboards!

The radio station had an internet radio on their site, though for Japanese only. My friend found a Japanese proxy to use the page through and we listened to it. :p Also recorded it. The sound quality wasn't amazing obviously but it wasn't that bad... I just HATE melodic metal... it's everywhere in Finland and Finnish heavy metal is complete and utter shit. Just sounded really the worst kind of keyboards that could be in metal these days. But there were good songs too... just wondering who their keyboardist was. o_O They haven't had one since the 80s!

My Heraldic Device has not arrived yet. I dont know if the shop even sent it yet since my friend ordered it!! :( Though I listened the songs on Japanese radio show... there was horrid keyboards... x_X sounded like some pop or melodic crap metal. Sheesh. Some songs sounded bit more Anthem-like without the stupid keyboard.

It's Shibata's fault of course for writing such lyrics for Eizo to sing! But he also writes rough and wild for him to sing. Maybe it was just a joke... I just find them disturbing because Eizo sings about something to do with women. Nothing to do with just mothers. I'd think Eizo is perfect if I heard him sing other kinds of things too but I am not going to argue. I have nothing bad to say about his singing abilities now. He is my favourite vocalist along with Mitsuo Takeuchi. There are 3 dvds at least of Nerima. I am not sure if they would be suitable for you... Eizo likes to keep that stuff out of public eye too. He rarely talks about it anywhere and most people outside Japan don't know half of the stuff he does outside anime music and Anthem. I prefer talking on WLM, last.fm message are too public to say some things about Eizo. I don't have skype... have yet to find a reason why one should have it.

I should buy Anthem Ways just to own it but Graham Bonnet is horrible and I totally cant listen to him raping Anthem songs. I don't generally like western members in Japanese bands, they always make them seem far more important than the Japanese members. I was also talking about vocal retake of Wild Anthem with Eizo. (stupid character limit... this place is not meant for chatting :p)

At least Shibata doesn't have to hit Eizo for behaving bad. I just think Eizo singing about something like a mother is disturbing. He should just stick to rough and wild and heat of the night kind of lyrics and stuff that isn't obviously about something feminine. Depends how you interpret the lyrics of course. Eizo has lovely hips and nice stomach muscles! He should thrusts his hips all he likes. :P And it's not as disturbing as that nerima macchoman video where he keeps touching his own chest and stomach in a provocative way. Lucky Shibata keeps it out of Anthem... or unlucky... Eizo couldn't sing is what I should have said. He can sing just fine now. Great for metal vocalist in my opinion. Lot of them sound pretty horrible.

For old albums: 1. Gypsy Ways: Bad Habits Die Hard, Cryin' Heart, Gypsy Ways (Win, Lose Or Draw). 2. Hunting Time: The Juggler, Hunting Time and I dislike Bottle Bottom. I really don't listen to the first Eizo albums much even if they have nice songs: Eizo can't sing and I prefer to listen new live versions of them and there is vocal retake version of Wild Anthem which is just brilliant. I don't mind fuzziness so much since I listen to the older albums on LP sometimes and those are definitely little fuzzy.

Eizo is just a little silly, not really mad. :p Shibata doesn't have blog but they had Anthem blog a few times, probably will again for new tour, where they all wrote stuff. Hope so anyway since they write lot of fun stuff there, especially Shibata about what they do with Eizo. Aah favourite albums: 1. Immortal: Insomnia, Road to Nowhere, Mob Groove. (But not like there are any songs I don't like!) 2. Black Empire: Heat of the night, Walk through the night, Awake, Perfect Crawler. Pilgrim I don't like! 3. Overload: Rough and Wild, Overload, Demon's ride. 4. Eternal Warrior: Onslaught, Eternal Warrior. This album has a song I don't like again but mainly for the lyrics: Easy Mother... ugh it's awful and embarrassing to listen to such. Shibata could sing about easy mothers but when it comes from Eizo's mouth is just wrong! 5. Seven Hill: Silently And Perfectly, XTC, Grieve Of Heart, March To The Madness.

I didn't really mean singing voice. They just seem to do a lot of silly things together with Eizo and being behind drums on stage leaves MAD bit out it it. Would just be fun to see him in the front. Well I agree with you that Homma is more professional and MAD is called MAD for a reason. :p Naoto didn't change them. It was MAD's decision to leave or their mutual decision... I don't think MAD has time for Anthem's 4-6 hour practices and other things as he has several other bands he is in and Shibata expects a full commitment to Anthem pretty much... though with Eizo he cuts lot of slag. Shibata even said he should be more strict with Eizo in some blog entry. XD I think it's pretty much the same with Hiroya and Akio too... Hiroya is more free... and less technical than Akio. Makes the band sound 20 times more awesome with the line-up even though it's nice to compare how it used to be with Yukio or Hiroya or MAD. Have to say I still prefer new Anthem!

MAD is more fun... and I think he suits Anthem better than Homma.And they seemed to have so much fun with Eizo on 25th anniversary tour when they were in front of the stage together in some photos. Besides being a founding member of the band it's kind of backwards he is only a support member now. And he has been my favourite drummer for so many years anyway! I want him back in my favourite band! Not that I don't like Homma as a drummer a lot too. :( What comes to band decisions... it's one man and one vote and Shibata is the man and he has the vote. XD I don't think the others have much say in anything. There is only Shibata talking on the Anthem Bootleg anyway. I don't actually even know what there is on Back Then dvd... I don't have it. I've seen the live 10 years ago but disliked it so much I haven't gotten myself to buy it. :/ Where have you seen that bit anyway? o_O

Yeah. I think it's a general assumption that Nakama was on that album. :/ I don't remember at all what Shibata might have said on Immortal recording. I should probably rewatch it but I rather just watch the lives really. Nerima Macchoman dvds are probably still on diskunion but I don't know for sure. Yeah I've seen that pic of course. :p. It's called Cats in shoes/kutsu. They've actually been doing it for awhile now so I'd imagine they can play fine like that! I'd like to see Mad on vocals more than Homma though. Or Shibata on ALL instruments. XD It would be great to see a dvd of it but I think Shibata is bit too professional on his old age. That kind of funny stuff is left for lives only. We just get to see nice, decent, well playing Anthem on dvds and cds. Rarely anything personal either. And nothing like that video where my second pic from the top is. Did Nakama do anything but the instrumental on it? Far as I know Hiroya recorded the guitars on everything. Quirky is a good word for Eizo and he is a huge narcissist. Shibata called him weird and from outer space in Anthem bible and of course loved idiot on stage. Though you won't even know how quirky Eizo is if you haven't seen the 3 nerima macchoman dvds. He and CAP go sing songs and play acoustic guitar in front of Eizo's old apartments, schools, shops etc. Funniest dvds ever. XD As opposed to his quirkiness he seems quite religious. Shibata is my idol though. He writes amazing songs, lyrics, plays guitar, sings and plays bass like a god. Not sure how his drumming is. And he is the cause of all the hard work in Anthem of course! Everyone should have such a good bossy and actually respectable leader. I want to get a tattoo of him but I can't decide on picture. :( I hate everything about X... and I better not get into that because I will start ranting about it.

I don't think Anthem would have been in a tv show when completely unknown. There is only one tv show of them around anyway... x_X Pisses me off. Haven't they been on tv more than once? I'd just be pissed off not knowing where originals come from... Calling real metal guys visual kei is huge insult. :( I think Akio just wasn't used to being in the spotlight at the time.

Oh you've made all those Anthem requests on jpopsuki. I am just there for TV shows... fat chance to find any with metal bands. :( Tony Maeda, used to be Anthem's vocalist before Eizo. I think there aren't anything but demo tapes with him but he is in the same band with MAD right now. Aww don't insult poor Akio! He is just really young in that pic... on the official bootleg dvd, on domestic booty recording he tried to hide behind Shibata from the camera. I think they all have make up in that pic anyway. XP

There are few around but not many of them know anything to talk about them. Most people don't read any Japanese and there isn't information around about Anthem in English.
