Yeah, there are many bands singing in English. I guess there are several reasons for that. I guess many thinks it sounds better, want to be rockstars and the genres encourage them to sing in English? But there are severel good acts in Swedish too, but maybe you haven't heard of them or you don't like them? But you've got a point, I agree, but there are great bands in Swedish. You should test Håkan Hellström, Vit Päls, Florence Valentin, Bob Hund, Mattias Alkberg BD, Säkert!, Markus Krunegård just to mention a few. :)

Saludos =)

Yeah! I have heard some of his songs, and they are nice, by the way I have acctualy also seen a live performance with Jens Lekman once during an folkfestival about a year ago I think, really nice :) I dont know if you have heard the song "Be Part" with Jens Lekman feautering Kocky, one of my favourites with Jens, but anyway I post it right here so you can listen to it if you want :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flF2K0dUb04 Swedish language is not too usefull Im afraid, apart from if you living here or in some parts of Finland of course! If you plan a trip I recommend english, most of swedes talk it fluenty :) excepts of myself ;)

Its a bit difficult to answer on, but when I started listening to this type of growing underground music I fall in love with it from the begining hehe! I think that one explanation or reason is that there is pioneers everywhere... Its just to take an eye on the electronican miracle in France now after the Daft Punk dynasty ....where its nowdays is something of an happening, and when I do a comparison with this type of swedish music there is parallells.... first of all an icebreaker and then a big dose of revolutionary music that sounds sooo good hehe ;)

I am besotted with this guitar tune in "Basic Space"! "Shelter" is a beautiful song, I love the Them Jeans Drum Edit of it, too. And "VCR" is lovely with this xylophone. The whole album sounds beautifully melancholic to me...
