The original is fantastic, but this shouldn't be compared. I think the first years of Yes were very fresh. More untamed energy than later, even if I like the latter works also." I think I am in complete agreement. There are really very few Yes songs I don't find to my liking. Of course the earlier stuff is best (Going For the One and prior), but I do love quite a bit of the recent things..especially Magnification. The only songs I avoid are a few on Union (Saving My Heart, Lift Me Up), and some of the weaker tracks on Open Your Eyes.

Isn't it ? He is really great musician and extraordinary pianist. Than about taste in music : who knows what does it depend on?I simply thought that a lot of good music leaves a mark on someone's musical taste. You're right, this is a complex issue.
