Haha, that's okay, I end up always writing a wall of text anyway. I have a handful of clips (I think the main tracks I ended up grabbing fully were Spanish Sahara and Red Socks Pugie) but the audio picked up by my iPhone is awful, distortion from the bass ruined the audio completely. If you want, I can send the clips to you; just give a hoy and I'll PM you my e-mail to pass them and some semi-dodgy photos along too. But oh, Florence! I'm so glad to hear it went wonderfully! I'm seeing Washington this (next?! dates are close enough) month which is exciting since I loved her stuff since triple-j unearthed, and I think I may be going to Parklife with some friends (despite the tragic end of Ou Le Est Swimming Pool.) Outside of that, I'm kicking myself that I missed out on tickets to Silversun Pickups; fingers crossed for an extra show. How about you?

I'm officially in love with Yannis. I will admit that I was cheeky and looked up/watched a previous gig of theirs about a month ago on youtube, so knew that the stagedive was coming, but had no idea which track it would be, I was just lucky picking Red Socks Pugie. Oh, I was basically at the same point as you then- right at the edge of the pit's stairs, except I was at the back/right in the middle. I was thinking of you though! I recorded the stage dive and bits of Cassius, Miami.. and I think all of Spanish Sahara, but iPhone's audio is awful so I will probably just screencap some bits and pieces. But I agree, it was the most high-energy (positive!) that I had ever been to, definitely one of my favourite gigs ever. We were kind of late for the supporting act (and apparently there was a secret show; all outside hifi were these 13 yos with Foals/G&TC posters) but they sounded pretty good, what did you think? But overall, AMAZING, I'm still buzzed from it. I hope they come back soon.

Wonderful! I'll be the one with a frizzy mane of hair, coughing/sounding like a vuvuzela (I have been so sick lately) and trying to kidnap Yannis and Jack at the end of the set and pray that no one notices. But oh! So, so worth it, I'm so happy with all the Splendor sideshows this time around; I just need more money and friends with more likeminded music taste like us. Hopefully this is a sign of amazing things to come for the summer concerts/break! See you tomorrow night~

I'm just annoyed that they announced their second show at the Forum... would have preferred to have seen them there instead! Festival Hall is a bit sucky. Sorry to hear you missed out on Grizzly Bear! They're pretty amazing live. I saw them a couple of years ago in a disused swimming pool in Brooklyn, along with Broken Social Scene and Feist. Mmm.
